Alliance Dwarf Priest
X, Flip Boris Brightbeard: Boris heals X damage from
target hero or ally.
Use only on your turn.
Priests have a mix of abilities for both dealing and
healing damage. They
can do decent Burn, but they rely on Allies more
than say, a mage. They've
got a good toolbox of abilities, from destroying
abilities to bouncing
allies...with Psychic Scream, use the fact you have
to bounce your own to
your benefit...who cares if you had to return allies
to your hand if you
returned, say, Parvink?
Boris' ability is exceptionally flexable. heal as
much as you can pay for
from whatever you want. Just not on your opponent's
turn. His Talent,
Spiritual Healing, lets him get in healing on things
even when he's using
other spells, encouraging you to use Holy spells
over Shadow. Both Chastise
and Smite deal damage and are Holy, making them more
cost efficient, though don't neglect the non-holy
abilities...especially since you're never
guranteed to draw anything.
As much as I like Boris, Priests don't do anything
but heal WELL. If you
want to do a 'face melting' priest deck, you're
better off with Omedus,
leaving Boris as one of the Heroes I might recomend
trying to build a Magni
and Ironforge Dwarves deck around.
Inversely, little need to combo and liking Allies
makes him do better in sealed. Heal whatever you
want with his ability, whee.
He can make good use of the allies he's got, but
everyone wants the best allies in Draft...
