Red Comet Ka'tali Stonetusk

One of the more popular Horde protectors Ka'tali has a bit of longevity with his healing ability. Though with his low health he won't survive long past the first few turns. With the new cards in the dark portal expansion he's been a bit out classed but in a pinch he can be a good card to fall back on.

Ka'tali Stonetusk (Horde)

Ally- Troll Shaman

1 cost, 1 ATK (Nature), 2 Health

Protector, At teh start of your turn, Ka'Tali Stonetusk heals 1 damage from himself.

Well... this guy is pretty straight forward. He's a 1/2 for 1, which is about average, and he has Protector. His ability to heal one damage from himself every turn isn't amazing, since odds are he'll be popped in one whack. But, he IS a cheap Protector, and if your opponant only has a 1 ATK guy out, Ka'tali can stick around for a few turns.

Sealed: 4/5 Protectors in sealed are life savers, regardless of there other abilities. If ya get him, you'll probably want to play him.

Constructed: 2/5 There are better turn one cards for the Horde than this dude in constructed.

Casual: 3/5 The way I see it, cards are always better in casual just because you aren't always playing to win here. You are playing for fun. In Casual, Ka'tali may see more use than in constructed.

Raid (Onyxia): 1/5 You'll have better stuff than this guy here. Sure, he can survive a whelp and come back for more next turn, but that isn't really that spectacular.

Soon, I hope, I'll have a Molten Core raid deck, and at least a few games under my belt with it. At that point, I'll be adding another place to score the cards. Raid (MC) with any luck. As I've heard rumors, the MC raid will be nothing like the Ony raid deck, so it may be impossible to judge cards for both Ony and MC in the same grade.
W.A.Y.S. Welcome to protector week. First up is the regenerating troll Ka'tali Stonetusk.

Ka'tali Stonetusk is a nice turn one drop. He is a good damage soak and is cheap enough to play anytime to protect an important ally. KS's healing ability will only come into play if your opponent's ally is a weakling. He's a good damage sponge and there is really nothing more to say about him.

2.5 out of 5 for every format. The small cost and stats make him splashable but not all that powerful.
