DSZero's Top 10 Mistakes Made by Players. A list of things that annoy. 10. The levels of monsters. Remember this rule (not counting effects): Level 4 and under are no sacrifice. Level 5 and 6 are 1 sacrifice. Level 7 and higher (no matter how high) only require 2 sacrifices. I have seen people think that Ultimately Obiedient Fiend and Kitsu require 3 sacrifices when they just got their rules wrong. 9. The ability of Vampire Lord/Vampire Lady. No one, I repeat, NO ONE would name Monster for their discard effects. Who in their right minds would be stupid enough to allow easy Reborns? No one. Magics and traps at all times. 8. Magic/Spell Counters. Oh my god, people just can't get this right... Priority is what gives monsters the ability to activate faster then many magic and traps. When you summon Breaker The Magical Warrior, and your opponent plays Bottomless Trap Hole/Ring of Destruction/Trap Hole etc... priority gives you the magic counter on Breaker... but it never allows you to play Breaker's effect until the trap card's effect resolves. That means that if it's off the field, you can't play its effect. Get it right before you "break" my Ring of Destruction again. 7. Not following the rules. Konami sets up rules that make the game fun and fair. What is so fun about using 3 Monster Reborns, 3 Raigekies, 3 Change of Hearts, and 3 Pot of Greeds? Its boring, its stale, and it ruins the reason why Yugioh is YUGIOH. Think how sad and pathetic you are if you can't win using the rules. Are you thinking? Keep it up before you start driving... 6. That themed decks are bad. Why? Honestly. When you make a deck, imagine the following: Skeleton: Theme Muscle: Pot of Greed Skin: Everything else that fits under the theme. If you think for a second that you'll win against a GOOD deck without a dedicated theme, then you might as well try playing Pokemon... then again... even Pokemon has themes... now you just have no excuses. By the way... You canNOT have two skeletons... so don't freakin mix themes... some of them don't fit well together. (example: Fiends and Zombies) 5. The anime. In japan, the anime came FIRST. BEFORE the card game was made. This means that the entire OCG/TCG is "wrong" from the anime. This is done to make the game fair and less broken... Now, when this anime was moved to english, it was about 3-4 years after the Japanese game made its start, and the english was slowly *VERY SLOWLY* making its debut. The anime is wrong, but because it is what introduces new players to the Real Life game, it makes the impression that the Anime was just crap cause it used the wrong effects. Wrong. Its crap cause of the horrible dubbing and censoring, but it didn't use wrong effects... it used the effects that made the plot interesting. Get it right. Anime before OCG (the japanese official card game) which is before TCG (the english trading card game). 4. That any cares about the cards YOU make up. Honestly. Everyone can make up their own cards in their imagination... your not special just because you made a "Blue Eyes Metal Ultimate Chaos Dragon" or your "The Pharoah-The Ancient King and Ruler of Egypt." Annoyingly broken too... if you want to make up cards, at least make them FAIR. 3. Age. Honestly. Just because a card saved your butt many times in the PAST, doesnt mean its good as time goes by. Cards that come to mind are >>Mirror Force<<, Magic Cyclinders, Swords of Revealing Light, Trap Hole... pathetic now-a-days. Only newbies would deny that FACT. 2. Believing in the "Staple" cards. This is my system, and it has proven to be very effective in shutting up all the bad players: The Demon's System: The Staple: Pot of Greed 1st Degree: *whatever you want* 2nd Degree: *whatever you want* 3rd Degree: *whatever you want* ...so on. This is the only way to truely call anything a staple card. Certain decks can work with one card, but others can't. This makes some cards less useful to some people. But Pot of Greed is everywhere, meaning its the ONLY STAPLE. END OF TOPIC!! 1. Pot of Greed. If you think for a second that your deck can't benifit from a Pot of Greed, you should quit now and give all your cards to real player. It makes me angry each time someone says "I dont use it cause, if I have a great hand already, then I dont need any more cards." Even Pokemon uses "Bill." You have no excuse for not using a Pot of Greed unless you don't own one. DSZero Trigger4321@msn.com If you wanna complain to me, at least put in the subject line: "You were wrong about Mirror Force" or some useless arguement like that...
