From: T Searcy Alex's Top 10 Things Done Wrong in Battle For the Bronze Parts I-III Hello again everyone out there! Well, the votes are in, and the winning poll was Battle For the Bronze Part III, Kaiba vs. Joey. I will point out the Top 10 things done wrong in my mind in this duel. ENJOY! 10) Ok, I mentioned this in my list for Clash in the Colliseum, but STILL giving up 1000 lifepoints for Enemy Controller. WHY?!? To make the duel seem closer perhaps? 9) Now, this wasn't done by Kaiba OR Joey. Merely Duke saying "I hate to admit it, but Kaiba's a tough customer." Of course he is, he's second ranked in the world behind Yugi. Why did we need to here that, or did Duke not know, as he lives in a box on Mars, with his fingers in his ears. 8) Again, this doesn't pertain to the duel, but Yugi going up to stop Marik from destroying good Marik, Tea, and Ishizu. How come his puzzle couldn't sense any of Marik's evil before? Like during Marik's duel with Bakura? He only ONCE tried to stop him during Mai's duel, to no success. All of a sudden he can help? How come Marik was too (almost) afraid to duel the Pharoh then? How is delaying the "pain" torment? 7) Kaiba flipping out about Joey using his Blue Eyes. He didn't think Joey couldn't weild it, or have the skills, he was pissed because someone took his favorite card. 6) Kaiba suiciding his Blue Eyes into Joey's so only HE could have one. This is selfish, and if Kaiba cared about his Blue Eyes HALF as much as he said, he wouldn't have done that to his favorite monster. 5) This really bothered me, Joey should've had to give up his rarest card, Jinzo, when he lost. But he didn't, so are we to believe this isn't a tournament duel? Did Kaiba not want or need a Jinzo, or was this editied out? 4) Now, this goes along with #10, but Joey using Enemy Controller to DESTROY not control Kaiba's Blue Eyes. He could've summoned Hayabusa Knight FIRST, then sacrificed it. Nutrient Z still would've protected Joey next turn. 3) Joey attack Blade Knight instead of Kaiser Sea Horse with Blue Eyes. Kaiba would've lost 200 more lifepoints, and Blue Eyes wouldn't have come back. Doesn't it make sense to attack the weakest monster first? 2) The mere fact that there isn't any suspense. We knew Kaiba would win, much to my disappointment. They could've at least made it closer. Joey only got Kaiba down to 700 lifepoints. It'd be cool to have seen him at 50 or 100. Maybe they'll write a Joey victory someday. and the #1 thing done wrong in this duel was... 1) Tristan and Duke making FUN of Joey after he lost. He dueled his heart out and it was a TOUGH loss, so they make FUN of him! That is rude, and if I were Joey, I'd have killed them. Well, not KILLED... Well, thanks for reading, and I hope you enjoyed it! Time for the next poll! Should my next list be on...Top 10 things done wrong in... a) Yugi/Joey vs. Para/Dox b) Yugi/Kaiba vs. Lumis/Umbra c) Yugi vs. Pegasus d) Yugi vs. Marik e) The 4 way Battle Royal involving Joey, Yugi, Marik, and Kaiba Now, time for today's Card of the Day! LOB-005 Dark Magician Ultra Rare Dark-Spellcaster Level 7 2500-2100 Well, quite the oldy we have here, hmm? Dark Magician has quite mediocre stats of 2500-2100 for a two tribute monster, but he has so much support! Double Ghoston lets him become a one tribute monster. Skilled Dark Magician, a level 4 powerhouse can bring him out faster. Curtain of Black Magic (not released yet to my knowledge) can bring him out faster. Miracle Restoration can bring him from the graveyard, Dark Renewal (not yet released). This guy practically BEGS to have a deck built around him. I know we have equally strong 1 tribute monsters. Or weaker ones with kick-ass effects, but this guy is great. He's my favorite card, and I have quite a nice deck built around him. It's won me a few tournaments in Michigan. Cards it functions well with: Diffusion-Wave Motion (with Fairy Meteor Crush or Big Bang shot for MASS trample) Skilled Dark Magician, Buster Blader (for Dark Paladin) Mystic Plasma Zone, and so many others. Rating: Limited: 4.0/5 In limited, 2500 attack isn't bad at all, and two tributes wouldn't be terribly difficult either. Traditional/Current: 3.0/5 There are better monsters, but he isn't a bad choice, being so easily accessible. Strictly Dark Magician/Spellcaster deck: 4.5/5 This guy is a beast here, second to only Dark Paladin and Dark Magician of Chaos.
