Don’t Overlook the Magic Ruler Commons

There are many new and interesting cards from Magic Ruler. But the thing that is odd is certain card effects. Some certain common cards have better effects than certain rare cards. Check this one out.

This card should have been rare, or higher. It has a great flip effect. It says…

Flip: “After this card is flipped, when it is sent to the Graveyard, both you and your opponent select 1 monster from your respective Graveyards and Special Summon it on the field in face-up Attack Position or face-down Defense Position (no Tribute is required for monsters of Level 5 or more)

See, if this card is put face-down on the field, chances are, it’s going to be attacked. And once it’s attacked, it flips, and it most likely gets sent to the graveyard (its Defense stat sucks, so it WILL die). It serves as an extra Monster Reborn, but with an extra twist, because the monster you choose from your graveyard can be put either face-up or face-down on the field. Sure, you could go for the BEWD, but why not one of your cards with a flip effect?

Want another Magician of Faith, pick it up. Another Man-Eater Bug, pick it up. Or how about another Cyber Jar, that’s something you really want. And if Spear Cretin was killed on your opponent’s turn, you can flip the card you got from the graveyard right away on your next turn. The only drawback is that your opponent also gets a monster, but considering all of the possibilities, it won’t really matter. All and all, this is a great card that shouldn’t be taken lightly.
