Subject: Horn of Heaven Stuff-MajinUltima MajinUltima@hotmail.com AIM: MajinUltima Well, it seems ppl are listening to me. Always a good thing. I should be reviewing something like The Force Sentry today but I dont think theres anything that really sitcks out about it. Its free, it does something really annoying to most ppl so there isnt much to say that hasnt been said. Instead, I figured Id take a look at a card that the review staff in their infinite reason (no offense guys) ended up giving a total of 2.31. Yes, thats right Horn of Heaven. A card, that for all intents and purposes, is superior to my favorite scape goat card, the Axe of Despair. Since ppl dont like me picking on the Axe and say Tributing a monster isnt a big deal, then applying that logic to Horn of Heaven should do it wonders... Lets see... Tributing a monster is a VERY Heavy cost in the current environment, so why do it... well this becomes an Eye for an Eye situation, with a bonus. Keep in mind that the Axe got about a 65% higher rating than the Horn. What are the strategic benefits of the Horn to oh say... something like a Trap Hole? The review staff said that most of your threats come from monsters that can be Trap Holed... SO wrong... SO SO VERY WRONG. Even BEFORE MRL came out... back when Metal Raiders was new, you still had 2 very important widely-used monsters that will ruin your day 10x faster than a Summoned Skull... Reborned stuff is the obvious, but Im referring to Magician of Faith and Man-Eater Bug. Flip Effects are horrible to even attempt to block, but whats worse than seeing someone flip a Magician of Faith for Raigeki is to see that their MoF is still alive and being Tributed for Summoned Skull... well, most ppl will say right there 'Hey, Skull can be Trap Holed!' Yeh, so, thats nice, but in any kind of deck with a good monster ratio, youll have 1-3 monsters on the field at most given points in time so by scarificing something like oh say... a MEB that you already USED to NEGATE the Magician entirely, SAVE your monsters, AND keep that Skull safely in your enemys hand... lets face it, thats a good deal. Now on to MRL where the Horn has now gained a LOT more power. What do you mean 'a LOT more power'... its still the same as before. Correct, but weve now also got some new and very dangerous creatures in MRL that cant be Trap Holed and can wreck just as much, and sometimes more havoc than the things I mentioned above... Cyber Jar, Hiros Shadow Scout, Spear Cretin, Relinqueshed, and Toons. According to Edo, and Im not sure if this applies in the US but it most likely will: Toon Monsters are considered Special Summons even if you must Tribute for them which will mean no Trap Hole. So, in reflection of the errors made in review of this card, and the advent of MRL, I hereby pronounce this card a 3.9. The Eye for an Eye aspect has its downside, but this card can do stuff... VERY GOOD possibly game-breaking stuff. After all, Cyber Jar and Magician can be game-breaking so negating them should also be considered to have a similar effect. Yes, this card is a Trap and can be negated for 1000 or half of your opponents LP, but thats why this card isnt getting a 4.? and I left it at 3.9. By the way, before I get anymore emails from ppl whining about the stuff I say... tough. When you can run a deck where the strongest monster is Big Eye and go around on a winning streak rampage against Summoned Skulls and stuff and killing these same ppl with a Kuriboh in ATK mode, call me. Til then, back off questioning my dueling ability since in all likelyhood, Im going to skip modesty and same Im a better duelist and strateegist than you are so if youve got a porblem with something I say... back it up with some kind of evidence or logical arguement or go play some little kids cuz you seriously arent ready for the big leagues. As always, to (hopefully) most of you out there, have a good one. MajinUltima@hotmail.com AIM: (OMG!)
