Here's the gist
Card games, unfortunately, mostly come down to who has
the most cash. For those poor poor people who can only
afford six packs a set, they're screwed. What can be
done? How can justice be dealt? Howwwww???

Never fear, here is a cheapo deck building guide and
how to build a killer deck for under 50 dollars! Or if
your really cheap, find, make that 30, but yeah.

First of all:
Don't underestimate the cards that come from the
original starters. Summoned Skull from Yugi's deck is
still a standard for many tourney goers. Monster
Reborn, Change of Heart, they are all from those sets.

Also, if you're willing to buy online (very smart
move, go buy from Iguana.) There are a few choice
things to get:

Structure Decks
The structure decks have killer killer cards for a low
low price of 20 dollars. Hey, you say 20 is a lot,
well let's see. In the yugi structure...you get Magic
Jammer, 2 Dark Magicians, Mirror Force, Swords of
Revealing Light...need I go on? Kaiba's has Blue Eyes
Ultimate (always a prize fighter) i've seen those sell
for 30 dollars, even though the structure is 20. You
also get Crush Card and other stuff fom it. Pegasus
has every toon ever made except for toon dark magician
girl, which is a promo, and Joey's has good magic/trap
cards, and has some prize creatures to nab (no black
skull tho grr)
You can dissect these prizefighters, and trade off the
good cards you don't need for cards you do need.

Premium Packs
8 dollars for a pack. Seem steep? The premium 5
includes such tradeable cards as alternate art Red
Eyes Black Dragon, the Millenuem Shield (3000
defense!! can you say shield and sword?), Crush Card
(always a fun fun card even if it's not as strong as
it is form the show)
Premium 3s go for 36 dollars, but you can get the foil
Blue Eyes Ultimate. Once copy i've seen go for 100+!!
You also can get Gate Guardian.
Keep in mind none of the premiums have more than 9
cards in the set. Premium 4 only has 6 cards, and the
pack itself has 6 cards so...yeah. Good chance of
getting the card you want form premium, if not 100%,
unless you looking for the parallel rare, but hey, if
your reading this, your in lack of money, be happy
with a foil :-P lol j/k

Secret Rares
If your a player and you have a thousand dragon and
not a lot of money..
IT's the thousand dragon or a good deck. You can keep
that nifty secret rare in your folder, or nab some
really good cards that can go into a deck for it. Same
with cards like Black Skull Dragon. Nice card, hard to
play, go trade it for a few Magician of Faiths. Same
goes with foil versions of cards that come from the
starters. You already have a few non-foil copies that
are just as playable. Why the heck do you need the
foil one?
