Subject: Cool Cards In Labirynth of Nightmare - Magician Mage The next English expansion is, Labyrinth of Nightmare. It has both Spell of Mask and Labyrinth of Nightmare Japanese sets. This is the 5th set in English and there are still more to be released. Nine more sets are to be released in English. In this section I'll tell you the cards that are cool, and maybe a must have. Spell of Mask POWER OF TEAMWORK Type: Equipment Magic Effect: Increase the equipped monster's attack and defense strength by 800 for each face-up monster you control. This is a common in Japanese, very easy to get. I bet in English, this is gonna be an Ultra-Rare! Harder to get. For all the Beatdown decks, this is a definite staple, and for sure its resricted to 1 per deck like the Japanese rulings. Imagine slapping this onto a Maha Vailo with an army La Jinns, Summoned Skulls, Goblin Strike Team (Goblin Attack Force)! It can blow anything away. This card shouldn't be avoided. POWER OF MAGICIANS Type: Equipment Magic Effect: Increase the equipped monster's attack and defense strength by 500 for each card in your Magic/Trap zone. Also a common in Japanese, and for sure its an Ultra-Rare in English. A definite staple for Beeatdown decks, and also restrcited to 1 per deck. Both equip cards exceed Axe of Despair like nothing. Also dangerous on Maha Vailo, when your m/t slots are full, its 4550 ATK strength with one equipment card. Also shouldn't be avoided. BIG BANGIRL Type: Effect Monster Fire/Fire/4/1300/1500 Effect: Whenever you gain Life Points, do 500 damage to your opponent. I guess this card is good too, I've never used it before. Slap on a PoM of PoT, or any strong equip card and slap down a Solemn Wishes. Each time you gain 500, your opponent loses 500. Its good for burner decks. Its Super-Rare and Japanese and I'm not sure if its a rare or common in English. I know this combo with this card that I've thought up just now. Contact me to tell you. I think this card is okay. REWARD OF REBIRTH Type: Permanent Magic Effect: When 1 of your monsters in your Cemetery is special summoned to the Field, you may draw 1 card. An Ultra-Rare in Japanese. This card is pretty cool too. The picture has a naked man on his knees and elbows and I forgot the rest. For sure...Upper Deck is gonna edit the picture with some dude with clothes on. Okay, everytime you use Monster Reborn, Premature Burial, Spear Cretin, Shallow Grave etc. you draw a card when this card is face-up. Its should belong in Exodia decks. Speaking of Exodia...Japan has released this card called (blank) in their newest set, Power of the Guardians. This card makes Exodia deck even more dangerous. Contact me to find more. TIDAL WAVE Type: Trap Effect: You may activate this card when a monster is Summoned (including Reverse Summon and Special Summon). Destroy all monsters on the Field. This card is a giant Trap Hole. If your oppponent has a complete army to smack you off your feet and you're empty handed, lay this bugger down and when he summons any monster, activate it and everyone get's bashed by the tidal wave. This card good and should belong in monster removal decks. TORNADO WALL Type: Permanent Trap Effect: While the [Sea] Field card is face-up on the Field, reduce the damage done to you by all monsters attacking you to 0. If the [Sea] Field card leaves play, destroy this card. For all who loves playing in the water, this is a staple. All damage done to you are reduced to zero. Like a permanent Waboku. This card was used agianst me and I couldn't even lay a scratch for awhile. THUNDER SWORD Type: Equipment Magic Effect: This card must be equipped on a Warrior Sub-Type monster. Increase the equipped monster's attack strength by 800. Reduce the attack strength of all Water Main-Type monsters on the Field by 500. For all who play Earth decks filled with warriors, this is one fine card. This card can make 7 colored fish seem like a guppie when in combat with Goblin Attack Force. I'd say this is good too. On to my favorite set...Labyrinth of Nightmare TURNER OF THE DEAD: KAIKU Type: Effect Monster Dark/Magic User/4/1800/700 Effect: When this Monster does Battle Damage to your opponent, remove up to 2 monsters in your opponent's Cemetery from the game. Also, while this card is on the Field, your opponent cannot remove Monsters in his or her Cemetery from the game. This card is my All-Time Favorite, I of course use 3 in my ultimate deck. This card is a common in Japanese and I'd say...Upper Deck might make it Rare or Super-Rare making you spend more money getting this such great card. Goblin Attack Force can blow this away but with PoM/PoT, this sucker can "erase" your opponents monsters, making it nothing but m/t in their graveyard. You can say bye to Summoned Skulls, BEWD, or any other strong monsters. This card is an ultimate need. DARK NECROPHIA Type: Effect Monster Dark/Demon/8/2200/2800 Effect: This Monster can only be Special Summoned, and only by removing 3 Demon Sub-Type monsters in your Cemetery from the game. If this card is destroyed by your opponent and it goes to the Cemetery, at the end of the turn this card becomes an Equipment card to that monster. While this card is Equipped on it, you control that Monster. This card is also my favorite but I don't use it in my deck. Its an Ultra-Rare/Ultimate-Rare in Japanese (Ultimate exceeds Secret). The picture is cool. This card has a good effect but its hard to bring out because of the requirements. In Labyrinth of Nightmare, there are lots of Demons/Fiends, so its easier to bring out. My friend plays a cool, well balanced Dark Nechrophia deck. Playing this kind of deck against Kaiku will mess you up big time. FORCE FIELD Type: Counter Trap Effect: Negate and destroy a Magic card that targets 1 Monsters. This card is good against Monster Removal cards such as Tribute to the Doom. But this wont work on Dark Hole, Raigeki since it doesn't target any monsters. This card is fine because its a counter trap but activating it happens rarely. WRATH FROM BEYOND THE GRAVE Type: Permanent Trap Effect: During your Standby Phase, do 100 damage to your opponent for each Monster of his or her Monsters that was removed from the game. This card is excellent with burners and the "eraser" decks, or should I say, Turner of the Dead:Kaiku. If you have pumped up Kaiku and constantly removed monsters form his/her graveyard, you can pack up a lot of damage to your opponent. OUIJA BOARD Type: Permanent Trap Effect: At the end of your opponent's turn, you may play 1 [E], [A], [T], or [H] [Death Message] in that order, from your hand or deck (shuffle afterward). If you assemble all five cards on the Field, you win the game. If any of the cards is placed in the Cemetery from play, put them all in the Cemetery. The D-E-A-T-H message! Just like Exodia but much easier to get rid of. Slap down a Heavy Storm and good bye! Try avoiding this card in decks. Just store them in a binder for display or showing off to your friends. Once you have all five letters...Instant win. Still avoid it though. FUSION CANCEL Type: Instant Magic Effect: Return 1 Fusion monster on the Field to the Fusion deck. At this time, if the monsters uses in that Fusion monster are in the Cemetery, Special Summon them to the Field. This card is cool. You can cancel you opponents fusion and summon the fusion material monsters to the field. Imagine canceling BEUD!! You then now have 3 BEWD under your control, and if their field is clear, its game! Since there aren't much Fusion decks out there, keep it in your binder for showing off. INFECTIOUS VIRUS: BLACK DUST Type: Equipment Magic Effect: The equipped monster cannot attack. At the end of its controller's second turn, the Monster is destroyed. After this effect is successfully completed, return this card to your hand. This card is the enhanced Paralyzing Potion. I used to have this in my deck awhile back and it saved me a couple times. A common in Japanese and maybe in English...a Rare or Super-Rare. If you play a Defensive Burner, this card is right for you. Use it when you have Gravity Bind on your opponents army of deadly Monsters, and begin to rot and die, turning into compost on the battlefield. This card is good against the heavy hitters, also you can put it on Machine types too, not like Paralyzing Potion. Finally...this concludes my section of the cool cards in my opinion of Labyrinth of Nightmare. The names of these cards will be edited and maybe the picture too, Upper Deck of course will probably replace them with geeky names. When the Struggle of Chaos and Mythological Age Japanese sets are going to be released, I'll tell you the best cards to have from those two great sets. If you're impatient and wanna know about the conctact me. ~Joe (Magician Mage) Email - abadv001@hawaii.rr.com AIM - crmsntears77
