Subject: Stop the INSANITY!! - Turel Darcloak What's up with all these rants I'm reading about what 'certain people' believe are 'crappy cards'? I cna't believe there are people out there still writing Tips & Rants on their dislike of Gate Guardian! We've gotten over that one, people...there has been two booster sets released since then and there is one on the horizon. Surely there must be 'bad' cards that still have yet to be trashed left-and-right by people that could still be talked about in a non-denomintational way. It's really not that hard. And what does everyone have against Tribute Monsters, anyway? They're as intergral to the game as any other card that exists, they make up for certain shortcommings in every deck and are even more fun to play when it's your opponents' defences you're using to summon these bad boys. Many have said, in disrespect to the ever-lovable Red-Eyes Black Dragon, that two tributes for an Attack Power of 2400 isn't worth it when you could get an attack power of 2500 [that's an extra 100 Attack points, kids] with one tribute for a Summoned Skull. True, very true. With that in mind, why bother playing anything that takes more than one tribute? Barrel Dragon is an aditional 100 Attack points more than that 'terrifying' Summoned Skull and it has an added effect of clearing two monsters at once...but, of course we've forgotten that Barrel Dragon was made an Ultra Rare card and wasn't put into either of the Starter Decks, so militant Summoned Skull enthuiasts can't get at it so easily. Playing 'useless' monsters like Gate Guardian and Red-Eyes Black Dragon add a level of stragety and skill to the game of Yu-Gi-Oh!, which is pretty much the reason the game was made. If you have a problem with a monster or a certain type of card, here's an idea: build a deck, don't play the card(s) you don't like/want and get on with your life. Remember: there are no bad Monsters, there is just no constructive way to play some of them yet. (Like what I said? Hate Tributes? Love Red-Eyes? Want to see more opinions posted by me??
