New Starter Deck Cards

First before I begin I would like to clear that this is all information from YugioRealms
and all credit goes to them of course. Now they have divulged the cards that are going
to be in the new Joey and Pegasus starters. I am going to say that I am shocked as to how good
these things are, and how Upperdeck is really giving the true players something in these starters. They
far and away blow the old ones outa the water. Without further adieu:

Hane-Hane-Joey has the new version of this Sonic Bird-Fetch a Ritual Magic Jigen Bakudan-Total Crap Mask of Darkness-MoF brother Witch of the Black Forest-Only the begining of this Man-Eater Bug-Had this in the last 2 Muka Maka-We arn't at the big surprises yet Dream Clown-I LOVE this monster, even if just common Armed Ninja- Crap Hiro Shadow Scout-Nice Deck Destruction Card Blue-Eyes Toon Dragon-These have all been confirmed!! That is a SECRET RARE in a starter deck. This isn't all. Toon SUmmoned Skull- Uh, yea this is now 2 toons. Manga Ryu-Ran-The poor-mans toon, but that won't matter anymore. Toon Mermaid- Nice with some messangers of peace. Toon World- Would the above be any good without this? Black Pendandt-ANOTHER holo turned into starter Dark Hole-Standard Starter Fare Dian Keto-Crap Fissure-Standard De-Spell-Crap Change of Heart-Standard Stop Defense- Not that good a card Mystical Space Typhoon-Finally it's a common like it should have been a long long time ago. Rush Recklessly-Better than reinforcments Remove Trap-Crap Monster Reborn-Standard Soul Release-Good in the right deck Yami-Crap field card Black Illusion Ritual-Would Relinquished be any good with this? Ring of Magnatism- I guess it has "some" usage. Graceful Charity-OH MY GOD, new to the english game, this is seriously going to aid my exodia deck. Trap Hole-Standard Reinforcments-Seems redundant with RR dosn't it? Castle Walls-Crap Waboku-One of my favorite commons Seven Tools of the Bandit- Yes noobs can now aquire counters pretty easily. Ultimate Offering-Some like this, I don't Robbin Goblin-Good Discard Magic Jammer-You heard it right, MJ comes with this deck. Enchanted Javelin-Some Usage Gryphon Wing-Used specifically to counter Harpy Feather Duster, which leads to the idea that HFD is coming out soon.

So that is the Pegy deck, wait till you see the Joey!

Goes with Pegys MoD Big Eye-Nice effect mon Sangan-Witch's partner in crime Princess of Tsurugi-Standard Burner Mon White Magical Hats-Standard Discard mon Penguin Soldier-again, OH MY GOD. This is a great mon card that will see its debut in the starters. Thousand Dragon- Nice? Again another Secret Rare Flame Swordsman-Can you see a theme yet? Malevolent Nuzzler-Not AoD, but it goes nicely with Vailo. Dark Hole-Standard Dian Keto-Crap Fissure-Standard De-Spell-Crap Change of Heart-Standard Block Attack-Crap Giant Trunade-A good magic card, lots of combos The Reliable Guardian-Crap Remove Trap-Crap Monster Reborn-Standard
Polymerization- No I did not stutter. There IS a poly in the Joey starter deck. Why do you think TH and FS are in this? Nice to see an easily aquired version. Mountain-Crap Field Card Dragon Treasure-Crap Eternal Rest-SoSo magic Shield & Sword- Ok Scapegoat-Another english debut, has some stalling and burning potential(can we say Cannon SOldier?) Just Desserts-Burner Standard Trap Hole-Standard Reinforcements-Crap Castle Walls-Crap Waboku-I've expressed myself here Ultimate Offering-Ditto Seven Tools of the Bandit- Yes Joey has this too Fake Trap-Usefull Reverse Trap-Crap

So look very closely at the above. Don't those starters' look great? For Pegy it's: Secret Rare-1 UR-8 SR-8 R-13 My god that's alot. And for Joey? : Secret Rare-1 UR-5 SR-10 R-9
Not as many as Pegy, but still good.

SO both decks are giving Us very nice card. You can probably tell Like I have that Pegy has the better deck though. However I expect to but both and not have to choose :) . There are going to be 2 types of reactions to this.

1)True Players who love the game will be thrilled. This means great cards available to everybody without spending wads of cash(I have most of the above, but I don't mind cause I've still got the rare versions) . It will also make tournaments alot more challenging since now even the newest person can make a toon deck, albeit a crappy one.

2) Some Collectors, and rich little snobs are going to absolutly hate this. It will hurt collectors some, and little spoiled brates who buy like 10 boxs of each set per month are gonna be pissed to say the least. Also some of the less talented duelists will feel threatened that they have to contend with lote of good cards now, and can't hide behind having rarer cards to win.

THis will of course create some idiot children who are gonna get cocky cause: I have Relinquished and now i'm l33t!@@ But this is to be expected. Also not all people know how to use toons properly and will fail miserably at it. However overall I think these starters will be a GREAT asset to Yugioh in general to keep it going by getting in new players with cards that give them a standing chance.
