Subject: Some more combos -Pegasus Hello again. I considered doing another essay on the God cards with corrections (god, did I screw up on that) and a bunch of extra information I found out, but I decided not to. Today we'll be looking at a few interesting and powerful combos. Many of them are very simple and easy to understand: I. Infinite Dismissal + Gravity Bind: 4-star monsters can't attack, and 3 star or lower monsters are automatically destroyed. At first glance, this might seem perfect for a stall or Dream Clown deck; however, the two cards' effects apply to both players. Uh-oh. At least you can use this AGAINST a Dream Clown/White Magical Hat/Hayabusa Knight deck, and it would also work fairly well against beatdowns. This combo, surprisingly enough, might actually fit best in a toon deck. Once you get a Toon Summoned Skull out, toss down these two to either destroy or paralyze all of his no-tribute monsters. Until the end of the battle. (Note: It's a very good idea to Trunade up your Toon World before playing these two) Obviously, this combo has some obvious counters (Imperial Order, Heavy Storm, etc.) but still, doesn't everything? The only monster I can see that can readily counter this is The Fiend Megacyber. II. Type Zero Magic Crusher + Black Pendant: 1000 LP damage without a cost like Tremendous Fire! Of course, you could just play two Ookazis for 1600 LP damage instead... but why go the easy way out huh? III. Metalmorph + Hayabusa Knight: Ooh la la. 1300 ATK is just mediocre, but when the Knight is attacking it receives a huge bonus depending on who it's attacking. Basically, it can destroy any monster with less than 2600 ATK. Nice way to get rid of a SS or two. Too bad if it's directly attacking, Hayabusa Knight's ATK is still a mere 1300. The cool thing is that Metalmorph is a trap card and not technically equip magic. IV. Axe of Despair + Hayabusa Knight: This makes a 2000 ATK monster that can attack twice. Nice. V. Axe of Despair + Metalmorph + Hayabusa Knight: 3-card combo *gasp* ... anyway, this is a really nice combo. 2300 ATK for when your opponent is attacking Hayabusa Knight, and when the Knight is attacking it destroys any monster with less than 4600 ATK. Twice per turn. Well, except Millennium Shield or Labyrinth Wall, but who plays those anymore? You might even consider adding Gaia Power to this combo to protect Hayabusa from those nasty Summoned Skulls. VI. Enchanted Javelin + Man-eater Bug: Play the MeB face-down, pray that your opponent attacks it, and destroy the opposing monster while gaining LP. Nice, neat combo. VII. Shield and Sword + Iron Waist Warrior: Okay, so the warrior hasn't been released in the U.S. yet... (it's Earth/Warrior/4/100/2600) This card is why Shield and Sword is horribly underrated. Play the IWW and play Shield and Sword. You end up with a 2600/100 monster with no tributes (for one turn at least). This combo is great against F/S beatdown because your opponent will almost certain have a SS or La Jinn (both strong F/S monsters with low DEF) on the field. This combo will destroy them. The only problem is that, after the turn you play this combo, IWW is in attack mode with an ATK of 100... you could counter this with a stalling m/t (like trap hole or SORL) until you can switch IWW back into defense mode or tribute it for something else. Or you could counter it with a hugely stupid combo (namely, Dragon Capture Jar + DNA Surgery (Dragon)). Or you could counter it with Enchanted Javelin. Or you could counter it with Share the Pain (destroy IWW, but also destroy one of your opponent's monsters). Or... forget it. VIII. Shield and Sword + Millennium Shield: Similar reasoning to VII. IX. Share the Pain + Last Will: Both players lose a monster; but you GAIN a monster from your deck. Yeah. X. Dark Necrophia + The Cheerful Coffin: W00t another card that hasn't been released! This combo (provided you have 3 fiend monsters ready for discarding, which I doubt you would) will get out Dark Necrophia in a single turn. Ooh. Who the hell is that other guy calling himself Pegasus? I took the name first dammit) (P.P.P.S. Why the hell didn't my Shadow Ghoul deck idea get posted? I see other people with Deck ideas in the Tips section)
