From: RoCkA2123@aol.com Subject: good way 2 build a deck!! 1 of 7 in this series (beatdown) Ah the great ways to build a deck, I normally use a 23:17 ratio when building a deck. I always for go that but, its ok to make a 40-45 card deck as long as you have 6 more monsters then you do magic/trap. For my first deck I will show you a standard beatdown of mine. Type A: Beatdown 3x La Jinn 3x 7 Colored Fish 3x Harpies Brother 3x Magician Of Faith 2x Man-Eater Bug 2x Goblin Attack Force 2x Hayabusa Knight 2x Dark Elf 1x Cyber Jar 1x Jinzo 1x Witch Of The Black Forest Before I get comments about Summoned Skull, I personally do not like this card because of the fact if you get trap holed you wasted two of your cards for one of your opponents. 1800's and Hayabusa Knight are just to broken not to include. Dark Elf is a good starter but not a very good late game choice. Goblin Attack Force the same. MoF and MeB are self explainatory and you should not play if you dont know why they are good ;) WotBF is used to search out Jinzo or Cyber Jar if you get in a jam. 3x Axe Of Despair 1x Raigeki 1x Dark Hole 1x Swords Of Revealing Light 1x Pot Of Greed 1x Change Of Heart 1x Monster Reborn 1x Premature Burial The restricted list is all standard magic and axe of despair is an amazing card that all beatdowns should have. 2x Trap Hole 1x Call Of The Haunted 1x Imperial Order 1x Mirror Force Really you only need five traps in beatdown. A good beatdown should not need three trap holes. CotH IO and Mirror Force are just too good not to use. In conclusion most people including myself might not like beatdown but currently it is one of the strongest archtypes in the Yu-Gi-Oh! card game. Next week look for an article on my favorite deck Burner:)
