Subject: Basics of Beatdown - Jinzo # 1 Everyone thinks that beatdown is cheap.and it is probally true, too. But I run one nonetheless. There are some basic cards that you might want to run: No Tribute: La Jinn 7 Colored Fish Dark Elf Jirai Gumo Goblin Attack Force Tribute = 1: Summoned Skull Jinzo Beast of Talwar Now, beast of talwar, GAF, and Jirai gumo are optional. If you do run them, use cards that will get around the effect. For monsters that take LP to attack, you can throw in Nimble Momangas. Not only do they heal, and bring more out, in theory, one of them count as a 2 monster for cards like BEWD (Not that I'd run BEWD, mind you.) GAF you can play cards that take a monster from your field and offer it for some kind of effect, like a tribute or something around those lines, just so your opponent cant get an easy kill on you. Or, you could run SORL, to protect it for the turns after. Anyways, on to more basics, like the magic cards. Basic Magic Cards: Pot of Greed Raigeki Monster Reborn Change of Heart SORL Dark Hole Axe of Despair Nobleman of Crossout Mystical Space Typhoon Heavy Storm Why is NoC in here? Easy. It can take out pesky Man-Eater Bugs that may plague you. Or it can remove instead of discarding WotBF, Sangan, etc. So they wouldn't get thier effect. Plus, if you have your opponent on the ropes, you can use this to lower your oppoents playing field and possibly leaving your opponents LP open to attack. Which, in beatdown is an advantage and a half. Axe of Despair is Obvious. In beatdown vs. beatdown + axe, the one with the axe always wins, until MST comes out. Mystical Space Typhoon is need for removal, just like Heavy Storm. If you want, throw in premature buril for extra monster beatdown. Basic Traps: Trap Hole Call of the Haunted Magic Jammer Seven Tools Solemn Judgement Again, tog et around the LP cost throw in healing cards. To combo with the Magic Jammer discard a high lvl monster from your hand and reborn it with a MR, Call of the Haunted, or Premature Burial. Trap hole is in case you need to open your opponents field up. Well, these are only the basics. If you want to learn more, you have to find it on your own. It is how i learned it too.
