To: Bill Subject: Tournament Tips- dudeofstuff Just today, I was reading the latest card tips when I saw one that caught my attention-'Dumb duelists, dumber judges!'. It basically tells how the guy went to a tournament and lost basically because he followed one of the rules posted by Pojo about Imperial Order. Like many of the rules on Pojo's webpage, it is not stated anywhere on the card. The person he was dueling didn't agree with what he was doing, and not suprisingly, neither did the judge, so he had to continue to pay the cost of Imperial Order and was not allowed to destroy it, which helped lose him the duel. After reading Pojo's FAQ page a few weeks ago, I thought something like this might happen. Duelists at tournaments may or may not know about the rulings sent to Pojo by Upperdeck, and the same goes for judges. If you're going to a tournament, make sure your deck is prepared for the normal rules, and any rules on Pojo's FAQ page (just incase the judges DO know about all the extra rules). You don't want to lose just because your stupid opponent doesn't know about all the extra rulings. Make sure you're ready to pay things like Imperial Order, Messenger of Peace and Mirror Wall's LP costs, etc. On the plus side, opponents and judges not knowing all the rules may be a good thing, depending on which cards you play. For example, If you run a Legendary Fisherman deck, Your Fisherman will still get the boost from Umi. If your opponent uses Jinzo, they won't be able to use Call of the Haunted on it, etc. This tip may not end up being that helpful for duelists, but if just one person reads my tip and wins a tournament, I'll have made a difference in the world:) You can e-mail me if you want, but I check my e-mails like once a month, and e-mails from people I don't know go straight to my junk mail folder, which gets cleared every third day. Therefore there isn't a good chance of your e-mail getting a reply or even getting read. dudeofstuff- bink126@hotmail.com. ---------- Help STOP SPAM: Try the new MSN 8 and get 2 months FREE*
