Subject: Top 3 cards to look forward to in Labyrinth of Nightmare... A lot of people are looking forward to the new expansion, set to be released in February 2003, and I for one, want to know how Upper Deck is going to handle this. There are quite a few cards in this set in Japan that have already been released in America, but knowing them, they'll probably just re-release them with new artwork, lazy bums :-) Anyways, I wanted to take the liberty of putting everyone on notice as to what, in my opinion, are the 3 best cards to look out for in the expansion. #1 - INFECTIOUS VIRUS: BLACK DUST Equipment Magic The equipped monster cannot attack. At the end of its controller's second turn, the Monster is destroyed. After this effect is successfully completed, return this card to your hand. This is what I think Spellbinding Circle should have been like. But not only that, you get two more bonuses. The monster gets destroyed after 2 turns, and you get to use the card all over again becuase it goes back to your hand! Imagine the possibilities! This is a good card to use against "Relinquished" or "Thousand Eyes Restrict". Speakinf of restrictions, expect this card to be limited to 1 card per deck as soon as it hits,. no question. #2 - FUSION GATE Field Magic While this card is on the Field, the [Polymerization] card is not needed to fuse monsters. Monsters being fused in this way are not put into the Cemetery, but removed from the game instead. What in the hell was Upper Deck thinking by making Polymerization a Super-Rare card, anyways? *sighs* This card should do some justice, as there are going to be more powerful fusion monsters being released with the set also, but who can forget the ever popular "Black Skull Dragon"? But whenever they decide to release the BEUD fusion, all hell is gonna break loose. But in some weird way, they'll find a way to restrict this one, too. #3 - IMPERIAL COMMAND Permanent Trap All Flip effects are negated. If you're running a beatdown deck without a lot of flip-effect monsters, then this card could be a trump for you. All those Man-Eaters, Hane-Hanes, Magician of Faiths, Cyber Jars, etc. can be kissed goodbye with this card, and combine this with its cousing, Imperial Order, then you'll be near unstoppable....that is, until Jinzo comes out. Upper Deck needs to hire better translators...I mean, which do YOU like better, Jinzo or Android Psycho Shocker??? Well that concludes this portion of my tips. I will be back later with the top 3 cards to AVOID with this new expansion. Take care all.... --DarkBlazer shinobi_x@hotmail.com
