Subject: Using Toons - Vic Apprentice My favorite cards...TOONS!! Toons all have the same effect: 1) They all can attack life points directly if there isn't another Toon on your opponent's side of the field. 2) They all must pay 500 LP to attack. 3) None of them can attack on the same turn as they were summoned. Of course, Toon Mermaid won't last very long in this enviroment. She can't attack the same turn that she was summoned, and she only has 1400 ATK. What to do? Well, in this tip I will be giving a few tips on using the most sought after cards in the game. Nearly every Toon deck should have these basic cards: 3 Toon World 3 Toon Mermaid 3 Toon Summoned Skull 2 Magic Jammer 1 Dimension Hole Lots of Equip Magic cards Yes, Dimension Hole. Magic Jammer keeps all of those pesky De-Spells away, not to mention MST. Toon World is esential. Toon Mermaids can give 2800 direct damage in 3 turns, 4200 in 4. The equip cards are to increase the damage done to your opponents LP, and raising the attack of Toon Mermaid. Dimension Hole walks the thin line. Protecting your Toons is vital during the first turn that they are summoned. Toon SS is there for the shear brute force that it packs being a Toon. 5000 LP IN THREE TURNS!! Now, there are a few cards that I include in all of my Toon decks. Jinzo, Blue-Eyes Toon Dragon, and Magician of Faith. Those three cards drastically help. I've also learned from experience that Manga Ryu- Ran is not a good Toon monster at all. 2 sacrifices for 2200 ATK isn't worth it at all. Healing cards are not as much as a help as you might think. The idea of Toons is to destroy your opponent quickly. If you play your Toons right, hopefully you won't run out of LP before your opponent. The average LP that I finish with is around 3200 LP. That may seem low, but my opponent loses LP a lot quicker than me. I suffer the dammage from playing Toon World too. This is a normal game for me: 1) Draw a Toon Mermaid, Dark Elf, Toon World, Melevolent Nuzzler, and two other cards. 2) I play Dark Elf in attack mode if I go second. If I go first, I play Toon World and Toon Mermaid with Melevolent Nuzzler in attack mode. 3) My opponent usually plays a monster in defence mode, briefly forgeting about Toons' effects. (The players in my area don't see Toons that often, and with a monster with 1900 attack, they play the defencive). If I had a Dark Elf out on the field instead, then my opponent usually plays a monster in attack mode. 4) By this time, I usually have either Toon SS or BETD. If Toon SS, I sacrifice either Dark Elf of Toon Mermaid for it. If the monster I sacrificed had and equip on it, then I pay what I need to (unless Axe of Despair) to put it on top of my deck. If BETD I play Toon Mermaid with any Equips I have. Either way, I attack. Me = 6500 Opponent = 6100 OR Me = 600 Opponent = about 7700 OR Me = 6000-6500 Opponent = 5500 5) Opponent starts to panik. He/she knows that I have a toon out on the field, and I'm going to eventually catch up. This is basically what happens. It changes a bit from duel to duel, but I eventually just start pounding any LP my opponent has left. The key to winning with Toons is to not be to eager to play them. Don't forget, Toons are special summons. If you don't play them right away, your opponent might not think that you have any in your hand. An awesome thing to do is to Play Swords of Revealing Light, and then pile on the Toons. If you've played enough, your opponent can't get rid of any of them and they're dead before they can even attack you!! I know that this probably didn't help you as much as you want, so if you want more info on my Toons, just do one of the following: E-Mail: vicapprentice@entermail.net AIM Screen Name: Vic Apprentice Thanks!!
