Subject: Dueling Manners Author: Doug Email: douglaskmeyer@hotmail.com ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hey there folks, this is my first posting... although I am a complete pojo fan. Anyway, I just have to share a story with some of you folks. I was recently at the Yu-Gi-Oh! national tour when it came through St. Louis. I was one of the first people there b/c I really wanted to play a few new people. Little did I realize that a few people who take this card game a bit too seriously would be there. I was having a great time until I started to play some real jerks. This guys all beat me in about 5-6 rounds. Normally I would not mind, but it is what they said afterwards which annoyed me. The guys had the nerve to straight out tell me that my deck sucked and that I should just quick. I am a casual player and don't have time to spend on it. Anyway, I think some people just need to be reminded that this IS just a game, and if they are good players they still don't need to be jerks about it. I mean, later in the day I saw them almost make a little kid cry when they taunted him. The good news is that there were a lot of other players there who made it a really enjoyable day. I just want to remind people that this is just a game and jsut because you are a good player doesn't mean you have any social skills. Well, I hope a few people listen. ----------------------------------------------------------- douglaskmeyer@hotmail.com
