Subject: Light Deck combos and strategies- DrBubbles


    This is the first time I have posted a deck idea on the internet and 
the only reason is because I can't believe I've ever seen one before.My 
idea was to built a Light deck to counter mainly Dark beatdown decks.

    First, some simple combos:

    Soul of Purity & Light, Thunder Dragon and Polymerization- Use Thunder 
Dragon's effect to bring out two, fuse them to bring out Twin-Headed 
Thunder Dragon, then summon Soul of Purity and Light by removing two of the 
dragons from play. This way, you get both out first turn and still have a 
normal summon or set left.

    Soul of Purity and Light + Graceful Charity- Discard two Light monsters 
to get this card out first turn and still have a normal summon.

    Shining Angel + Any decnt Light monster- If the strongest monster on 
the field is on your opponent's side (and preferibly a Dark type), have 
Shining Angel attack, be sent to the graveyard, bring out Hoshiningen, and 
with that attack boast Hysteric Fairy, Thunder Nyan Nyan, Asura Priest or 
Airknight Parshath can easily kill Summoned Skull, Jinzo or Dark Ruler Ha Des.

    Graceful Charity + Maha Vailo + Premature Burial-By discarding Maha 
Vailo, not only will you get it on the field without using your normal 
summon, but it will also get it's 500 point Atk boost.

    Shining Angel (one in deck) + Soul of Purity & Light- Have Shining 
Angel replace itself with another Shining Angel the first time it attacks, 
then bring out a Hoshiningen after the second attack. Then, on your turn, 
summon Soul of P&L (now at 2500 Atk), who is strong enough to destroy any 
popular monster.

    Also, their are enough other useable Light types to base a deck around 
it- White Magical Hat, The Forgiving Maiden, Thunder Nyan Nyan, Hysteric 
Fairy, Asura Priest, Magician of Faith, Airknight Parshath, The Stern 
Mystic and ,if you want to, Blue-Eyes White Dragon. With the right Magic 
cards (the usual ones plus Luminous Spark), this can be an extremely 
effective deck. The best part is the versitility. With only the cards I 
mentioned, you have:
- a card drawer(Airknight Parshath),
- a card discarder(White Magical Hat),
- a decent wall with a no-lose effect(The Forgiving Maiden),
- a 2000 Atk monster for no tribute(Soul of Purity and Light),
- a potential reuseable field clearer(Asura Priest)
- a Magic card retriver(Magician of Faith),
- a life point gainer with 1800 Atk (Hysteric Fairy)
-and a 1900 Atk level 4 Monster (Thundr Nyan Nyan)that can all fit into one 
effective deck type.

    This can also be a fairly cheap deck to build, since four of the 
monsters are common in booster packs and three are common in the starter decks.
