Response to: Things Concerning Yu-Gi-Oh!-TheProphet i'm not bashing you, i jsut thought everyone should know, that your "tip" is full of items that can and will be proven wrong and please, i know its hard, but please do not use the B word even in a quote, children to read this page, and we do not have to help them learn naughty words, (they should take the time learn them on their own, just like I had too >:) OK, you obviously dont know this so i'm going to point something out to you, this is not to insult you or anything just to point out why Konami does the whole different translation thing. 1. The Rarity Changes: When certain cards came out in Japan everyone had one and it overpowered gameplay, everone complained that every deck was looking the same, and they tried to fix this problem by moving certain cards into heavier rarity. 2. The name changes/ artwork changes. A. There are a group of people who do testing to see which names sound better in english, there are hundreds of people involved in these tests, and they change them according to get what gets the best response. B. There are these people called lawyers who are paid grand amounts of money in order to deal with problems, and as most people know, the best way to deal with a problem is to stop a problem from ocuring. These peopel change names so that soccer moms all over the nation do not sue them for everypenny they have, and/or have the cards stopped being printed. (I know and dont worry, everyone hates them too.) I would send you a copy of the reasons fusions work, but i will just send you a reference to the POJO june 5th CCG tip sick of the fusion and rituals getting bashed. it has many counterpoints to your arguement. (i also sortof wrote it) The whole thing about card advantage, never use pokemon as an example, if you are in a card shop they will laugh at you and taunt you. It was and still is a terrible cardgame (waits for hatemail) if anything compare it to something someone actually plays, like magic. Besides that , thw whole restricted thing is for everyones own good, haveing three monster reborns in someone's deck would ruin the game, because there is a good chance everyturn there would be a monster on the field. as for the rarity in question. Here's the problem with your arguement. the first cards you named: Upstart Goblin, Painful Choice, Pot of Greed, Card Destruction were all deemed down to one for different reasons. here are those reasons: Upstart goblin: has a nasty little japanese combo everone will know about withing the next 2 sets (no i'm not gonna tell you what it is) AND it is an automatic 1 card draw it no drawbacks for YOU. Painful choice: 5 cards from your deck and one goes to your hand, you choose the cards that will be used. 5 cards from your deck gives you a card advantage, you were at 40 now your at 35 (actually if you want to go deep into it, your actually at 34 and moving down to 30) more than one copy makes exodia decks almost unstoppable. pot of greed: 2 cards no drawbacks, 3 would equal a total of 6 extra cards from your deck: (only an idiot cant figure this one out) card destruction: if you load your opponents hand and play this card you can potentially deck him out in 2 turns with 3 of these things. also getting a whole new hand is a very, useful trick that should only be able to be used once of twice in a game. Now as for you other cards you listed, (graceful charity, Airknight Parshath, Masked Sorcerer, Jar of Greed, Appropriate) each one lets you get 1 card at a cost. these costs are: Graceful Charity: lose 2 cards gain 1 Reason it is restrited to 2: Still not quite sure, should be resticted to 1 for the same reaon painful choise is, will be in the future. AirknightParshath: Tribute one monster, and successfully attack something that is not stronger that he is. Masked Sorcerer: attack your oppnent's life points, and pray he isnt killed off in the next turn. Jar of greed: has to sit of the field for at least one turn. Appropriate: hope your opponent palys a draw card, and doesnt remove this from the field Your arguements are flawed, at best, when put up against these facts. Your exodia arguement has one major flaw (and the paragraph has a laughable idea.) How many decks do you know actually play Delinquent Duo, Confiscation, The Forceful Sentry, and Card Destruction, maybe 1 if your lucky, (besides you left out my favorite exodia killer Exchange). The point is they have stratgies set up specificallty to stop these cards. as for you idea on playing respectplay, and EYE OF TRUTH: noone plays these cards for very good reason, they are wastes of space and never stay on the field. eye of truth is an especially bad idea. and i hate to break it to you, but usually they already have 5 monsters in the graveyard to use that card. nice job by the way saying twin-headed behemoth isnt that great without givign us a reason. as for you discussion on godcards: I will not even address the subject anymore, its an old subject get over it. I will quote you yourself: What is it with bashing other people's tips on the tips page? It's called "CCG Combos, Tips, and Strategies." Bashing other people's tips does not fit in with that. Rants don't either, but at least rants can be fun to read sometimes. It's quite obvious that those who bash are just doing so for lack of anything intelligent to say." you obviously do not have a very good memory, becasue you had just gotten finished bashing a few cards before, with reasons that were not very well thought out. and everyone has a chance to state their opinion, it just so happens your opinion as well as many others can and have been proven wrong, I will leave you with this, you said: Even Skull Servant will be somewhat playable once Multiply comes out (play Multiply, equip United to Skull Servant). Until then, you'll have to use it with Scapegoat instead. multiply ONLY works with Kuriboh, and if he is on the field skull servant cant be played that turn anyway. ok, there it is, a perfectly logical nonbashing way to disprove your arguements.
