Subject: Beatdown defense- Michael

Well this is my first rant on Pojo. What I would like to say is why does 
everybody bash the beatdown. I just don't understand it. Everybody says 
that the beatdown is not originial and everybody can easily make one. Okay 
it follows a theme but so does everybody else's. I mean if you look at a 
Yata lock deck you will see a Deliquent Duo, Confiscation, Forceful Sentry, 
and so forth. This is for any deck.

The point is that to make a good beatdown deck doesn't involve slapping 
together the strongest monster's possible it takes great thinking, 
openmindness, and the ablility to think on you feet. For example I use 
spirit reapers in my beatdown deck. I have in it GAF, Geminis, and the 
regular beatdown monsters except Bazoo. However, this doesn't mean that I'm 
not using cards that are good because they don't have a high attack it just 
means that I am more open-minded with my beatdown deck.

Usually a game is not won by attack monsters. It is usually because of 
magic and traps. You can't put together a deck with just strong monsters 
and win tournaments you must mix it up with good magic and traps. 
Therefore, beatdowns are or can be creative after all I haven't seen an 
exact replica of my deck yet.
