Subject: Convulsion of Nature Combos__s0medumbrand0m To: yugitips@pojo.com Subject: Convulsion of Nature Pojo, please post this! I spent a lot of time writing this tip, and I think it could really benefit n00bs and Experienced Players alike! I have heard it said many times, that there is not one decent combo to be pulled off with the card, "Convulsion of Nature." Here, today, In my tip, I plan to prove you absolutely wrong. For those of you who don't know, Convulsion of Nature is a continious Magic Card that forces both you and your Opponent to turn your decks upside down, so that they both become completely visible. At first glance, the card is absolutely terrible, because it allows your Opponent to get a glance of your Strategy. Even though you will also have an advantage, cards that benefit both Players equally are not always playable. Cards like this also tend to Stall the game, and speed is everything in the game of Duel Monsters. Even if these combos are not speedy, they can be extremely devestating. The first C.O.N. combo I created involves the Trap Card, Drop Off. This card was used by the World Champ as his Finisher in the Championships in New York City. I hope that by now, you realize where I'm going with this. Remember, C.O.N allows you to see the cards your Opponent draws. So. You activate Convulsion, and when your Opponent happens to draw an excellent, game-ending card (Yata, Feather Duster, Lily, Exiled, Imp Order, Ring of Destruction, etc.), you are able to move the card directly from their Deck to the Graveyard. Be careful of Jinzo, you don't want that thing raised from the dead in your face. It's better just to let them draw it, and make them Trib. for it. Personally, I have used and abused this Combo several times, but oddly enough, I have never had it done to me. However, someone did Time Seal me under my own C.O.N. I didn't understand it, they only slowed me down for one turn. I used Graceful Charity anyway. O_o Well, moving on the the next Convulsion Combo... With the release of PGD, we got many Rare and hyped up cards. Many, IMO, were extremely overrated. Although they are excellent, they don't deserve the huge amounts of credit they're recieving. One of the such cards is the infamous Don Zaruug.(I refuse to use the retarded English name) Most people probably wouldn't realize the Combo potential right off the bat, because it's complicated, and perhaps a bit risky. When C.O.N is in play, and Don Zaruug is on the field, you can opt to activate his 2nd effect if your Opponent's next draw looks threatining. Not only will you discard that card from the top of their deck, but you will also be able to vanquish the one behind it. This should be used wisely, and at the right time. If done untimely, this combo can hurt you just as much as it can hurt your opponent. Ahh... well, I hope that in the future, entire decks will be able to be built around Convulsion of Nature. Hopefully, we'll get some more support cards to play this baby with. Who knows, could be a popular archetype in the future... Well, Later Days. I'm Outta Here. o_O ...s0medumbrand0m Send all Hate Mail, Praise Mail, Cookies, and Yatas ^_^ to: s0medumbrand0m@netscape.net "Play your next pathetic card so I can finish this!" -Seto Kaiba
