Subject: New Sets Galore ~ Nerimon

I don't get this - why are Upper Deck releasing so many new sets at once? Every couple of months something new comes out. It's real annoying; I had this problem when I collected the Pokémon TCG and it led to me quitting the game. See, I wasn't really into the Pokémon game itself but I preferred to collect the cards, I wanted to get every card in the set. Then they started mass-releasing them, both of the Gym sets and all 4 Neo sets seemed to come out really quickly and while I was still trying to complete Gym Heroes, WotC had put me about 5 sets behind. This is bugging me with Yu-Gi-Oh too; I don't really collect Yu-Gi-Oh cards, I only play, but I think that before you get the chance to get a lot of packs and stand a chance of something good, they release something new that everyone swamps on. Everyone always goes on at me about how Mirror Force is SO hard to get here in the UK: I guess that's maybe because Metal Raiders is a pretty old set now, and we've all moved on to LOD and PGD so not many people got it before something fresh and new came out (Magic Ruler). The people who did have it knew of it's value and are holding on to it, hence the rarity. Anyway, my point is that Upper Deck should slow down a bit. "Oh well, that's LOD - let's start work on PGD!!" Maybe if they stopped production of new sets just for a bit and took some time out to listen to the views and opinions of us duellists, they might not get as much stick from us and then everyone would be a lot happier. I mean, a more in-depth FAQ on their site would be good, and maybe a more frequently updated news site. Not that it'd ever rival Pojo, of course ^__^ UD should also spare some thought for the collectors (and I'm sure there are some out there) who want to get every card in a set, and find it increasingly difficult to find older sets as new boosters roll into the shops. So, my message to Upper Deck is this: slow down! Give us some time to recover, perfect our Decks with the seven sets we already have available to us and then carry on. Maybe more of us could same up and buy some single cards, and then the rich kid bashing would stop to; 'tis a marvellous vision I have :-)
