Subject: Tips For You While You Duel-SetoKaiba26 These are just some tips that should work in a duel, and possibly give you a slight advantage. Okay, here they are. 1.) NEVER let your opponent see your eyes clearly. If you have a terrible hand, and you're worried about what's going to happen, the worst possible thing you can do is show your opponent your eyes. That lets them know you are worried, because your eyes show fear. If you need to, wear sunglasses when you duel. 2.) NEVER give up. Let's use an example. If you have one thousand Life Points left, one of your monsters has Mask of the Accursed on it (which makes it so the monster it is equipped to can't attack and also the controller of the card loses 500 Life Points at each of your Standby Phases), and you know for a fact that you don't have any more Tribute Monsters left in your deck (which would let you tribute your monster and destroy Mask of the Accursed), don't give up. The right magic/trap card may come up.. Maybe Monster Reborn would come up so you could take like a Blue-Eyes or something out of your Graveyard and win. Or maybe De-Spell would show up to destroy Mask of the Accursed. So you get the point, duels can be easily turned around. 3.) NEVER give your opponent an opportunity to see your hand. If you have to get up and go somewhere really quick, like to get up and get the remote for the T.V. always keep the back of your hand towards your oppopnent. You need to keep your opponents guessing about what move your going to make. 4.) Now here's a tip I learned from someone else. The others I found out myself unless stated otherwise. Always take time with your moves and go over your face-down cards and your hand several times. This will give your opponent the idea that you have more options than you might actually have. Oh yeah, there is no need to use this tip if you DO have a lot of options. It's just a bluff. 5.) I'm sure most people already know this, but if your in a serious duel, NEVER use Convulsion of Nature (both players have to turn their decks upside down and continue dueling, so they can see each others cards). If you have it in your deck for a tournament, take it out. If someone else uses it, use De-Spell or whatever to destroy it. You don't want that card in your deck. 6.) If you want to save a lot of time and thinking power, get the Life Point counters you can find on Pojo's Yu-Gi-Oh! section. It's on the left side of your screen and says, "Life Point calculators." I got two from the top link, but use whatever you want. 7.) Try to bluff. When you really need to tribute, bluff. Here's what I usually do. I do one of those quite laughs that go like, "Hm hm hm," and then say, "This duel's over." Then I lay down the cheesy card, then be sure that you are THINKING that the card you laid down was really good (THAT IS AN ESSENTIAL PART, because then it'll show in your eyes that the card is awsome). Then, make sure you're smirking, then quietly say, "Your move," in a sort of cocky way. This will intimidate most duelists. 8.) If someone outside of a tournament asks you if you want to duel, then says that you will both put your rarest card up for grabs to the winner, most of the time you will want to say NO. People that say that are usually very good duelists with amazing cards. Get why they do that? Because they know that most of the time they will win. Don't go around losing your Exodia cards. Then you wouldn't be happy. I hope these tips will help you defeat your opponent. If they don't, give me an e-mail and I'll see what I can do to fix them. I am also open to ideas; feel free to give me some. Here's my e-mail: sephirothhajime@yahoo.com Unless stated otherwise, these tips all came from me. ~SetoKaiba26~
