Subject: More underrated cards- Rob who loves TER

For those who have read my other tips may not like the fact that the cards I write about focus around TER. So I've decided to stray away from that for my next tip. This tip will be just a look at cards that can be used for a control deck, as control decks seem to dominate any other card game, ie magic the gathering, and because beatdowns are getting boring.

Masked Sorceror- Weak, and it can't even attack under gravity bind. Most people wouldn't even consider playing this guy. But lets take a deeper look. Searchable by witch, sangan, and tomato makes him a versatile card, and his defense is enough to repel dd crazy's and don's. Actually a good card against Yata, especially when he's teamed up with a good beatstick or a Waboku. I prefer him to Parshath because of his easy summon. Drawing cards is such a valueable thing, even if it costs you some life points.

Besides, monsters are so easily destroyed nowadays, I doubt that strength is that big of a factor anymore.

Hayabusa Knight- When more sets are released in English, this card will become obsolete by another card with 300 more attack, and the ability to not be Change of Hearted. But for now, this guy is quite cool. Clear the field, 2000 damage. Nice. Clear the field, axe it, 4000 damage. Nice, eh?

Summon Magical Scientist, special summon this somehow (dump and reborn?), special summon ryu-senshi to nix any troublesome traps, Balter to kill any face down, and some other monster, strap a United We Stand on it and attack for 10,300. I really like.

Goblin Attack Force- Nobody uses this anymore. I have only one, but I try to include it in every deck I use. People don't use it anymore because of tramplers, but whoever said you had to attack with it? Just throw it out there, and stall with it. What monster can beat a 2300 attack? Not many.

Tribute it to Garzette for a 4600 attacker next turn!!

Time Seal- I'm not sure if you can set this and activate it the very next turn so that your opponent doesn't draw a card that turn, but regardless, its a good card for card advantage. MST's love trying to nail it while its facedown, and your opponent is rewarded by not being able to draw a card next turn. Pretty cool.

Arsenal Summoner- The card specifically says it can't search for certain monsters. I suppose this was intended to limit this monster to the Guardian monsters from DCR, but there are some Guardian cards that they forgot to put on this card. Gate Guardian, Guardian Sphinx are some of the better cards that are searchable, but I would just forget Gate's. The ability to search for Guardian Sphinx makes the Sphinx more playable. And the Sphinx is savage for a control deck.

Des Lacooda and Swarm of Scarabs- Remember Clown Control? Scarabs and Des Lacooda may create another subpar deck type. This deck would totally lock your oponent down with Gravity binds and magic negaters (IO or spell canceller), and then crush your opponent with limitless creature removal and card advantage. Plus the monsters can be turns f/d to avoid TIV. Pretty cool

Dark Dust Spirit-Another reusable removal card. its a tribute monster though, so its slow. Not so good, but I could see a weird deck revolving around it. Light Intervention, Gilasaurus's, shallow grave, basically anything that allows you to special summon. Throw Samsuke's in if you have trouble against f/d's

I know some of the cards that I chose to write about are utter crap, but I'm really tired of decks that are too unoriginal. PEOPLE THINK OUT OF THE BOX! SOMEONE, PLEASE THINK OF A NEW DECK SO THAT OTHER PEOPLE CAN COPY YOU!

Scientist rocks, and props to the guy who tried Huge Revolution and Yata is a tourney.
