BEAST-FIELD CONTROL-HEAVEN-BY JOE DOE

HEY, FIRST TIMER HERE, WRITING A YUGIOH ARTICLE I MEAN. THOUGH I'VE BEEN PLAYING YUGIOH FOR A WHILE NOW, AND IT HAS BEEN QUITE A FEW YEARS OF PLAYING DIFFERENT DECK TYPES AND STRATEGIES. NOW I FOUND MYSELF USING AN VERY UNORTHODOX DECK , AND THE NAME OF THAT DECK IS FIELD CONTROL.

OK, by now you are wondering what the heck do i mean by FIELD CONTROL. It's very simple, it is just another way of saying "BEATDOWN". I know, you are probably saying to your self, " oh no!, not another one". Well first of all, hold your horses, i use the term FIELD CONTROL because its a broforader and in the same way a more precise manner of describing the objective of the so called "BEATDOWN deck". For years the BEATDOWN deck has been a compilation of high attack low level monster with a few high level monster thrown into a deck to further add in to the theme of a beatdown deck. Though after quite a few years the beatdown theme is still on-going and probably we will still see this deck as a common for years to come. Of course it wont reign supreme as it did when yugioh first began, now with a barrage of different deck types, themes and strategies, the beatdown deck seems kind of overated, outdated or simply dull. But not to worry, with the death of something it simply means that it gives way for something new to come and flourish.

That something new is FIELD CONTROL, now field control is not only a bunch of 4 stars high attack monster thrown into a deck like it use to be in a beatdown deck. No, Field control embodies anything that allows you to gain control of the field and depending on your skills, the game. If you need Ex. of FIELD CONTROL monsters well let me give you a few, The first one is PENGUIN SOLDIER. The Penguin soldier is field control monster because of it's obvious ability, it allows you to constantly clear a field of a monster giving you direct access to your opponent life points. THE A. force is another field control monster because it allows you to remove any monster in your opponent's side of the field regardless of position and send it to the graveyard. Fiber jar, cyber jar, morphing jar#2, blowback dragon, chaos sorcerer, enraged battle ox, etc., all of these monster belong to the category of a field control deck. Because Their main attribute is to remove monsters from the field and giving you access to your opponents life points. As matter of fact you do not need high attack monsters to run a very effective field control deck, the only cards that you'll need are cards that remove monsters from the field and simply go for your opponents life points. Of course you still are going to need magic/trap cards as if you were playing a BEATDOWN deck, the difference lies in that your opponent will not be able to have a monster on the field for too long for it to be a problem to you.

As for the beast part of the title, well that is the deck I’m running. I found out that The Enraged Battle Ox had a Field control quality to him, he possesses the trample effect and that he can give that effect to other beast types as long as he was on the field. So took that and went on with it until i arranged a deck completely devoted to trample theme, which it in it's self is Field control since my opponent will not be able to have a monster on the field and take damage in the way.

Well that's it For the Field Control theme, to anyone who has questions please email me at JOEDOE_100@hotmail.com.
