Cheapskate - The Man
First of all I'd like
to state that I made a mistake in my last tip. It seems that Armor Exe's spell
counter removing effect is a cost, so that part of the effect is not
negated by Skill Drain. My sincere apologies to all of you.
Now,
onto to today's article. Like many other duelists out there I am not rich.
*Sobs*. I cannot afford that Yata-Garasu or that Chaos Emperor Dragon. Does this
mean I can't win? Absolutely not.
Don't overlook those commons and
rares. Several 1900 attackers are easily attainable rares. We also have Berserk
Gorilla. Giant Orc can be a good alternative to Goblin Attack Force.
Beatdown not your thing? No problem. White Magical Hat, Great
Phantom Thief, and Spirit Reaper can be used for hand disrupting when Don Zaloog
is nonexistent in your deck.
Burners can work, too. Des Koala,
Bowganian, Cannon Soldier and Stealth Bird all have the ability to slowly burn
away your opponent' s Life. You can also try a Balloon Lizard. Just be sure not
to destroy it yourself!
As for Traps and Magics (Spells...sorry)
MST, Swords of Revealing Light, Nobleman of Crossout, Axe of Despair, and Waboku
come in the starter decks. Gravity Bind can have whole decks built around it,
and Curse of Darkness has the potential to replace Imperial Order as well as add
burn. CoD is a continuous trap card that deals 1000 LP of damage to a player
when he/she activates a spell card. Time it carefully...
Sakuretsu
armor can also be an alternative to Mirror Force. It does the same thing except
that it destroys the attacking monster only.
Ojama Trio, a common
from Dark Crisis, can effectively fill up your opponents field space. The tokens
it creates also do a little burn damage when destroyed.
Here is an
example of a cheap Burn deck. Since most of the cards being banned are super
rare or rarer I will just make this deck follow the ban list. There are only 2
holos in it, Graceful Charity and Scapegoat, both of which come in the Pegasus
and Joey starters respectively.

This deck is just an example. Tweak it out to your
style. I also made it quite quickly so it probably isn't perfect, but, then
again, no deck is.
So go on and dig through your commons and rares
and build a deck from those. You'd be surprised how effective it can
be.
