The Power of Aitsu - Alberth & Vic Apprentice Before you get all excited and can't wait to figure out how to build the perfect Aitsu deck, I just want to tell you that at the current time I never suggest running and Aitsu deck because even just having BEWD w/ Fairy's Meteor Crush does almost the same thing (I'm not endorsing BEWD either). However, I guess that he can be used well if you build a deck around him. Part I: The Facts ------------------ Card Number: MFC-056 Name: Aitsu Attribute: FIRE Type: Fairy Level: 5 ATK: 100 DEF: 100 Card Text: He seems to be very unreliable, but he might have incredible potential. Aitsu is a 1 sacrifice monster from the Magician's Force set. At first glance he seems horrible, but he has many cards that you can use with him!! Now, there's a Union monster that goes with Aitsu too!! Card Number: MFC-080 Name: Koitsu Attribute: WATER Type: Fairy/Union Level: 10 ATK: 200 DEF: 100 Card Text: Once per turn, during your Main Phase, if you control this monster on the field, you can equip it to your "Aitsu" as an Equip Spell Card, OR change it back to a monster in face-up Attack Position. When equipped to a monster by this card's effect, that monster's ATK/DEF is increased by 3000 points, and when it attacks with an ATK that is higher than the DEF of a Defense Position monster, inflict the difference as Battle Damage to your opponent's Life Points. (1 monster can only be equipped with 1 Union Monster at a time. If the monster that this card is equipped to is destroyed in battle, this card is destroyed instead.) That's quite a powerful Union Monster... Card Number: DCR-090 Name: Cestus of Dagla Attribute: SPELL Type: Equip/Spell Level: 0 ATK: 0 DEF: 0 Card Text: This card can only be equipped to Fairy-Type monsters. A monster equipped with this card increases its ATK by 500 points. When this card inflicts Battle Damage to your opponent's Life Points, increase your Life Points by an equal amount. And that's useful for our little fairies... Part II: The Combos -------------------- If you take the time to read those cards then you'll see that they greatly improve Aitsu. With those cards you can easily have an Aitsu at 3600 ATK!! Couple that with the healing, Aitsu can easily become extremely strong. Now, here's where Aitsu really shines, and right now I'm not kidding. Since Aitsu is a Fire type and Koitsu is a Water type, you can use UFO Turtle and Mother Grizzly to get Koitsu. All that you have to do is protect both of them until you can join them, and you just got an extremely strong monster on the field with little effort. Now, if you have Formation Union on the field, then you can "forget" to join the two cards together and then if your opponent attacks Aitsu or Koitsu, you can flip it and join them so that you might throw your opponents strategy off, since they may have played cards that they otherwise might not have. Unfortunatly, this triggers a replay so they don't still have to attack. And then, with Cestus of Dagla, you can gain LP everytime you inflict it!! The only problem is protecting your Aitsu/Koitsu. You can do this the normal way (i.e. using traps and stuff to negate the cards your opponent throws at you), or you can just convince yourself that as long as you heal yourself by at least 2000 LP while damaging your opponent by at least 2000 LP it was worth it, then you don't need to protect it at all. Part III: The Conclusion ------------------------- Basically the purpose of this article is to make you aware that even seemingly useless cards (even if you know their purpose) can be much more useful and deadlier than they seem. Besides that, writing this was fun!! ------------ Here is a possible deck with Aitsu and Koitsu NOTE: this is a POST BAN deck NOTE: This is meant to be FUN for competitive play. If you wish to change cards in this deck then please go right ahead because this is only an idea.
