"Is The Ban-List Really That Bad?"

I'm writing this article because of all the people I've heard complaining about the upcoming ban-list. Most of these people are also the same people that complain about people not being original or creative with their deck construction. Is the ban list really that bad? The answer is no. The ban-list will actually help people's original ideas and creativity be more playable in the tournament environment. Here's why....

1- With Raigeki being banned, no longer do you have to worry about all of the monsters on your side of the field being destroyed at once. This allows you to play more monsters and set up combos with them.

2- With the Feather Duster being banned, it makes continuous spells and traps slightly more playable, also allowing you to set up different combos that would be destroyed all too easily before. (you'll still have to worry about MST's, Breaker, and Storm, but hey, it's an improvement)

3- Yata - No more having to worry about being left with an empty hand. But the best part about this card being banned is that IT MAKES THE GAME MORE FUN. This one card has won more games than any other, it gets boring losing to the same thing over and over again.

4- Imperial Order - Makes spells more playable because you are not always worrying about them being negated.

5- Fiber Jar - What's the most annoying thing in the world (or at least this card game)? When you're about to finish off your opponent, you run into their Fiber Jar and the game resets. It also makes all the cards that remove stuff from play more playable.

The rest of the banned cards, Change of Heart, Cyber Jar, Delinquent Duo, Injection Fairy Lily, and Painful Choice, I really don't see why they should be banned. I imagine that most of them will be unbanned in the future.

Right now, most competitive decks are using at least 7 or 8 out of the 10 cards that are going to be banned. What the ban list does is open up our decks to where we have room to try new cards. With an extra 7 or 8 spaces in our decks we can try those cards that didn't quite make it before.

Feel free to e-mail me or talk to me on AIM or Yahoo if you agreed or disagree with me. I'm always up for playing YVD or text dueling. And by the way, I'm not just sayin this because I'm a Newbie who doesn't have a chance to get the cards. Right now I have 7/10 of the soon to be banned cards and I'm looking for replacements.
