Powerful tactics
Hi. My name is Kevin
Lin and I've been noticing a few deadly strategies that people haven't really
used in the dueling environment.
1) Jowls of Dark Demise + Salvage
This combo works especially well in Water decks. The way it works is
that Salvage allows a player to get any 2 water monsters back from their
graveyard into their hands with 1500 ATK or less. Jowls is a puny 200 ATK
monster, but its flip effect allows the player to take control of one of his
opponent's monsters for a turn and also attack directly with the monster. Let
your opponent kill off your Jowls, then Salvage them back. Your opponent will be
in a bit of trouble because he doesn't know what you'll set; if he attacks, you
could just take his strongest monster for a spin and basically do a
Waboku.
2) Ojama Trio + Lava Golem + Mask of Restrict + Wave Motion
Cannon + Spatial Collapse
Start off this combo by clearing your
opponent's field. Set 2 Ojama Trios, the Spatial Collapse, and Mask of Restrict.
Let your opponent have his (last) turn, clear his Magic/Trap card zones, kill
the monster, then Ojama Trio once. Sacrifice his two tokens for Lava Golem, play
Wave Motion Cannon. On his turn, Ojama Trio again and chain with Mask of
Restrict and Spatial Collapse. Your opponent is now stuck with 5 monsters on his
field, leaving him unable to play any cards, and your Wave Motion Cannon will
kill him in 4 short turns (he loses 1000 LP every turn from Golem). Just set a
monster to keep the Golem from breathing down your neck and you've won! I
realize this combo is difficult to do, but its worth it to see the look on your
opponent's face when he realizes he's dead meat and there's nothing he can do to
stop you.
3) Mother Grizzly (or Mystic Tomato) + Last Will
Yes,
this is a Magical Scientist combo. The point is to play Last Will, suicide your
Grizzly or Tomato to get the Catapult Turtle or Magical Scientist, and use Last
Will to pull out the other card. Then use the infamous one-turn kill by special
summoning fusions with Scientist, tribute with Catapult Turtle. Good
game.
