Hey all ZaP here lets take a look at todays card of the day...

Seiyaryu

Tourney Play: 2.68
Casual Play: 4

Pros:
-Can be used with lord of D combo.
-2500 ATTK is the 3rd highest currently in the game.
-could be a good trading card.

Cons:
-Its the dragon version of Dark Magician.
-The standard mon killers own this card, like fissure trap hole etc etc
-Two tributes is like not cool.
-Dragon capture jar ownz this as well.

RFP:Well you can use the lord of D combo to get this sucker out. So think about this lord of d to get a bewd and a Seiyaryu yay! Um yea anyways there are still better dragons even if this thing does have the 3rd highest attack in the game. And finally this card could help get you the cards you need to make a deck.

RFC: Wow this thing has the 3rd highest attack in the game how special, but lets see this card is related to Dark magician, and as always we have our good friend summoned skull. As like all monster cards in this game the standard monster removal cards own this silly. Also two tributes for this card to possibly see play ain't worth it. Unless they change the restriction on change of heart, but well thats never going to happen. Also two tributes for the same attack as summoned skull is not cool. I mean why waste two of your monsters to bring out a card that has the potential to do any damage, but will most likely get wabuked or trapholed. And if they wabuku then they will most likely fissure and well are your hard work goes down the drain. So this card is definitly not worth it. If you are going to choose between Dark magician and this card for the love of monkey choose dark magician. 1. dark magician isn't weak to dragon capture jar, and 2. in the future dark magician will be a viable deck o_O I know it IS scary.

Combos:
Well there is only one real combo with this card the lord of d combo. I mean there really is nothing special about this card.
So yea thats about it good luck and happy dueling... :O

Monday - Seiyaryu

There isn't very much to say about this card, It's just another high level Dragon.

If your playing a Lord of D. & Flute of Summoned Dragon based deck don't even bother with this card. There are so many better Dragons that you could use (Blue Eyes, White Dragon - Tri-Horned Dragon). Only play it if your short on the other Dragons.

If your deck isn't Dragon based then the card just gets much worse. Two Tribute just isn't worth it, even with Soul Exchange. Just play Summoned Skull.

Rating: 2.0

I don't play DDS.

Welcome to DDS Week!

Overall Score: 2.0
Casual Play/Tournament Play: 2.0

Our first look into the second set of DDS cards gives us Seiyaryu, aka the Holynight Dragon.  This card is just a Dragon version of the Dark Magician with 200 more defense points.  Sure, it can be protected by Lord of D., but so can Tri-Horned Dragon and Blue Eyes White Dragon, and they have the exact same cost!

Combos:

Seiyaryu + Lord of D. + The Flute of Summoning Dragon = =/

Seiyaryu + Card Destruction + Monster Reborn = =/

Counters:

Availability: DDS is still one of the hottest video games on the market right now, so good luck.

Casual/Tournament Play:
It gets bonus points for being a hard-to-find promo card, but other than that, it's just the Dark Magician all over again.

Metal Raiders:
No help here.

TOMORROW'S COTD:  Tomorrow we take a look at the Flame Swordsman's best friend, Salamandra, as DDS week continues.
