Pojo's Yu-Gi-Oh Card of the Day

House of Adhesive Tape

Card Number - MRL-064

Average Rating = 1.56 based on 5 reviews

Ratings are based on a 1 to 5 scale
1 being the worst.  3 ... average.
5 is the highest rating

Date Reviewed - September 27, 2002

wartortle32 Friday - House of Adhesive Tape

Today's COTD is House of Adhesive tape. It's basically a trap hole for monsters with 500 defense or less.

This card is horrible...for now. Right now, there isn't a single monster that is worth playing that can be stopped by this card. It's about as useful as a
skull servant.

But what do I mean by it's only horrible for right now? Later on as new sets are released, weenie rush/gravity bind decks will be really popular. It involves monsters such as jinzo #7 or mystic lamp to chip away at the opponent's LP slowly. At that time, you'd be really glad you had this cause trap hole wont
affect those monsters.

However, those sets haven't been released yet, so this card gets a 1.2/5. The only good side is that it can stop zombie monsters in their tracks as they have
defense points of 0.

Friday - House of Adhesive Tape

Type: Trap
Effect: If the DEF of a monster summoned by your opponent (excluding Special Summon) is 500 points or less, the monster is destroyed.

Pretty much the opposite of Trap Hole, except not half as effective. 500 or less DEF isn't going to be hitting much, maybe a Jiria Gumo here and there. But, those aren't very popular anyway.

Don't bother...

Rating: 1.4/5

Yonex House of Adhesive Tape -- Friday

Introduction: Kill those pesky bugs. Splat Splat! Your Dead!

If the DEF of a monster summoned by your opponent (excluding Special Summon)
is 500 points or less, this mosnter is destroyed.

Why should you use it?
*Kills 500 DEF or lower monsters

Why shouldn't you use it?
*Doesn't negate
*Rarely any 500's

Reasons: First off, this doesn't replace Trap Hole! Okay this card really
has no point. It just kills 500 DEF monsters, the only 3 decent monsters I
can think of is, Man-eater Bug, Magicain of Faith, and Hane-Hane. Now let me clarify this, because I know it's gonna be asked. This card does NOT NEGATE the effect. So that means that even if you destroy their MeB or MoF they will STLL get the effect. So that really is that much for this card.

Rating: Horrible card. Just stick with good old trap hole. I think a 1.7 would be my rating for this card.

Conclusion: This card will stick to a house, but not will be sticky enough to stick to any deck.

House of Adhesive Tape
Type: Trap
Effect: If the DEF of a monster summoned by your
opponent (excluding Special Summon) is 500 points or
less, the monster is destroyed.

Ahh! This card stops those nasty magician of faith flip effects how awful is that? Since traps are a speed of 2 while a flip effect is a speed of 1 its destroyed before the flip effect happens. Sucks huh? Well you could use it but you'd only be using it just to counter someones deck that you know. Its a real waste of space trap hole is still the card to put in your deck. But eatgaboon is better anyway. So don't use this. Cos just using this card to stop MoF wont help when they play 1800 and theres no trap hole there for you X_x. Still cool though.

ARGH!!! When are we going to review good cards!?!?!?!

I want to review good cards!!!
I want to review good cards!!!
*takes a deep breath*
I want to review good cards!!!
I want to review good cards!!!

This card is amazing, it's just like a Trap Hole that can only affect Magician of Faith and Hane-hane. How could you not want it in your deck? Granted you could alwayz play just about any Monster and run those tinny things over but that would make too much sense and we just can't have that now can we?

If this card would cancel the effects of the Monster then it would be a lot better, not really playable but a lot better... then again I don't think it could get any worst. *stares at Skull Servant* nm, I take that back -_-; but you still shouldn't use this card.
