wartortle32 Bad Reaction to Simochi

As long as this card remains face-up on the field, the effect of increasing your opponent's Life Points is negated and changed to inflict the same amount of points in Direct Damage to your opponent's Life Points.

This is a card where it can have an entire deck built around it. There are a variety of combos that you can pull off with this card, most notably with Eye of Truth, Snatch Steal, and Rain of Mercy. But in my quest to build a Bad Reaction deck, I found that using this as the source of destruction of the opponent's LP is almost never enough. I personally think that this can only be a support card, probably in a burner deck, as it isn't powerful enough to take out the opponent's LP by itself.

I'd give it a 3/5. I wouldn't use it if you're not running burn. Definitely some good combos that you can pull off with this card though.

Well, if someone actually plays Life Gain in your area, then this is the card to Side Deck. Not only will it make them think twice about playing some random Life Gain Magic/Trap card, but will painfully backfire if they do.

If Upstart Goblin wasn't restricted, it would be a mediocre combo with this card. But since it's restricted, it isn't worth thinking about.

All in all, this is a very situational card. Don't play more one copy of this in your Side Deck because chances are you won't even face a Life Gain deck. And even if you do, they most likely won't be much of a challenge.

Rating: 1.9/5
The Echidna Bad Reaction to Simochi

Not to be confused by the epidemic caused after Robin William’s 2002 flick ‘Death to Smoochy’ this card can cause havoc on your opponent’s strategy. Fire Princess be warned, this card is your nemesis.

As long as BRtS is in play, all gains to your opponent’s life points results in direct damage instead. Ouch. Life gain decks will hate to see this come out and will have to quickly devise a plan to get rid of it. A lot of Fire Princess decks rely on gaining 2000+ per turn, which can quickly be the death of it.

Not a main deck card, but defiantly sidedeck worthy. It can save your hide if used at the right time.

Rating: Situational 2.8/5
