Dark Master Zorc

Fiend/Ritual/Effect Monster
Dark/8/2700/1500
This card can only be Ritual Summoned with the Ritual Spell Card "Contract with the Card Master". You must also offer monsters whose total Level Stars equal 8 or more as a Tribute from the field or your hand. During your turn you can roll a six-sided die. If the result is 1 or 2, destroy all monsters on your opponent's side of the field. If the result is 3, 4, or 5, destroy 1 monster on your opponent's side of the field. If the result is 6, destroy all monsters on your side of the field.

HOLY CRAP?! NEW RITUAL MONSTERS?! That’s what I get for not following the game…

Wow… I like this… I understand that you may end up destroying your own monsters, but lets face it, you’ve got a 5:6 chance of pulling off at least one “Man-Eater Bug” effect every turn, and a 1:3 chance of doing a Raigeki… so lets be serious here, this can do some massive damage…

Coupled with the fact that its Attack power isn’t half bad, this monster is awesome.  On Tuesday I said I’d rather do the level 8 crab turtle than the level 6 Performance of Sword… Well, this is also level 8 and its Much much better.  I’m impressed upperdeck…

On top of that, its my favorite kind of monster a Fiend, not less a DARK fiend… even better.

I would use this monster If I could get my hands on a pack of YGO cards, but they don’t sell them like… ANYWHERE where I live anymore…

Oh well.

5/5 – this monster is great

Finally we return to cards worth playing. Zorc, besides having a cool name, is defiantly a ritual you can not feel bad for thinking about playing. While 2700 for 8 stars is a little on a low end, the average deck runs heavy on 4 stars monsters anyway, so plenty of bait. Now you tend to notice the horrendously devastating possible backfire and set it down, but in reality you have a 83% chance of killing something of your opponents, a damn good chance. Another Bonus is that he is a fiend, and therefore Necrofear bait if he’s destroyed.

Dark/Fiend - Level 8 - 2700/1500 - Ritual Monster
This card can only be Ritual Summoned with the Rtual Spell Card "Contract with the Dark Master".

Dark Master - Zorc.. Pretty much, in most people's views, anyway, the most powerful Ritual Monster there is, and certainly the most effective. Its Ritual card works just like any other, discarding cards equal to Zorc's Level, but Zork, being a Dark-type, can also work with the Contract of the Abyss Magic Card.

Zorc can be searched by Senju, the soon-to-be-released-in-English Manju God, and Black Forest Witch. That's a nice advantage Zorc has over other Ritual Monsters, that it can be Searched by the Witch, as well, with only 1500 DEF.

Zorc's Effect may seem a little risky, but just look at it. You have only a one out of six chance of its Effect hurting you at all, a 50% chance of it destroying one of your opponent's Monsters, and a 1 out of 3 chance of destroying all of your opponent's Monsters on the Field. Now that's an effective Monster card. With such an Effect, you could easily finish off your opponent in a mere 3 turns, even if their LP is full.

Here's a link to the article I did on Zorc (and Shinato) a while back in my LItF section..

Ahhh...easily the best ritual since relinquished.  Summoning Zorc is relatively easy, but takes a well built deck. I have seen a lethal Zorc deck and believe me, he is worthy of being on the tournament scene. Let's set aside the fact that he is a ritual and look at Zorc's effect. Roll a die, 1 and 2 get you a raigeki, 3 or 4 or 5 get you a TTTD and 6 gets gives your opponent a raigeki. Luckily, the odds of rolling a six are highly unlikely, so you will usually get to "zorc out" one monster your opponent controls. Now Zorc has 2700 ATK, that means, in 3 attacks, you have won the game, with his monster removal effect and if you can keep his spell trap zone clear. If you can do that, just use him as a monster removing beatstick. His defense is exactly 1500, making him searchable by WotBF, plus Senju of the Thousand Hands. Now turning back to the fact that he is a ritual, its a good thing, if he were a normal effect monster, he would be too broken and everyone would play him. If you can build it, this is a new deck archtype worth working with.

Tourney - 4.0/5 - if built correctly...

Draft - 3.0 - if you have the ritual too, and you started with  SDP

Artwork - 4.5/5 - incredible artwork, his appearance is very dominating

Closing Line - BLOW THE DIE BABY, DADDYS GOTTA BLOW UP A JINZO.....
