Cyber Ogre #2

Gee, that effect sure sounds familiar...

Gain half the ATK of the ATK target? Sounds like Metalmorph to me. Does anyone play Metalmorph competitively? Nope. Most people who read my reviews already know my policy on Fusions -- they're a -2 as is, so they better have a REALLY good effect to make up for that -2. Raising an ATK score doesn't count.

Sorry for the short reviews this week, but for the most part, we're covering jank.

1/5 all

Cyber Ogre 2:
Only a fusion monster, move along people. Move along.

If you want a genuine review, Cyber Ogre isn't a horrid card that works well in the multiples required to run this fusion. The fusion itself is huge, but as with virtually all cards, so easily destroyed, the investment isn't worth it. If you like the effect, find a Metalmorph.

Cyber Ogre #2

5/5

A fusion with a decent effect. Nonetheless, his effect does not measure up their with King Dragun and Cyber Twin. But a cool picture.

DeathJester

Cyber Ogre #2

I like this Fusion monster. He’s a fusion of two Cyber Ogres, which is a decent monster in his own right, and gets a built in Metalmorph effect when Fused. Very nice. Machines have a growing repertoire of ATK boosting OTK-like monsters that do nothing except smash face.

If there’s ever been a deck that doesn’t care about simplification, it’s a Machine OTK.

Last Word: I wouldn’t be opposed to playing this monster or Machine deck with Cyber Ogre in it. Yea he’s a Tribute…but if we had Witch of the Black Forest he could be a bit faster right? How broken would that be though? On second thought…no Witch of the Black Forest please.

Ratings:

Traditional: 3/5

Advanced: 4/5 (Good Fusion monster that can be played via Future Fusion, Polymerization, etc.)
