Today we come to a good card, Gemini Imps. It may
only have 1000 attack and defense, but it's effect
may warrant some play. When a card controlled by
your opponent is activated that causes you to
discard from your Hand, by sending this card to the
Graveyard, you negate the effect and destroy the
card...plus, you draw 1 card.
So, it's at least a 1 for 1, maybe a +1 as your
opponent is down one card too. Hand disruption isn't
a huge factor in Yugioh right now, but it's one of
those things I'd watch out for. Our Imps may not be
maindeck worthy, but a side-deck spot could be
warranted it hand disruption is high in your area.
Traditional: 2.75/5 Plenty of hand disruption, and a
Advanced: 3.5/5 Still solid, but will people use it?
Advanced Side-deck: 4/5
This is actually a decent card, but hand control is
not exactly in vogue right now. However, hand
control is a viable counter to the infamous D-Raida
deck, so this could be a response to that from the
Dragon players. You discard this card from your hand
to negate a discard by your opponent's effect and
then draw a card. We have seen how deadly this is
with DD Crow, and I hope to see more of this
mechanic in future cards.
