Dark Paladin
Thursday

Dark Eruption is another Magic card we look at that does something so simple, but does it very well. All it does is allow you to add a Dark monster with 1500 attack or less from your Graveyard to your Hand.

Monsters worth noting:

Sangan
Cyber Jar
Spirit Reaper
Snipe Hunter

Those are just a few viable options, not to mention all the new excellent monsters we received from Phantom's Darkness. In short, if you play a Dark Deck, Dark Armed Dragon, Zombie even, or anything that utilizes enough Dark monsters that fit this category, use this card.

Ratings:

3/5 average rating here...some Decks can capitalize off this, for others, it's just mediocre.

Thursday:
Dark Eruption

It's a nice little 1-for-1, getting back a weak Dark.  The trouble is, that right now everything is focusing on the STRONG Darks.  Dark Armed Dragon, Dark Magician of Chaos, D-Hero Dasher...even weaker monsters like Strike Ninja fall outside of its range.  The monsters that can fall into this card's range are the ones you want discarded anyway; Disk Commander, Malicious, etc.

...though you could use it to get back Snipe Hunter.  Any chance to get back a power card like that without having to waste Premature or Reborn on it could be useful.

If your weaker darks are the core of your deck, you have a nice little addition.  Otherwise, stick with the D-Draws and Allures.

Ex` Thursday March 13th: Dark Eruption

I managed to pull this card at the sneek. Today were taking about Dark Eruption, a dark version of Salvage. Salvage retrieves 2 Waters with 1500 ATK or less while Dark Eruption only gets you one, but then again, Darks are the best attribute in the game so we can forgive that.

Dark Eruption is a nice retriever and can finally replace that Monster Reincarnation in Exodia Decks. When we're talking about Dark Decks, you'd generally want those darks to be either in the graveyard or removed from play so its use is very specialized. Sometimes, grabbing that Snipe Hunter to clear a monster is rewarding

Ratings:

Trad: 3/5 (Hurrah Tsukuyomi)
Advanced: 3/5 (Still good, but very specialized in uses)
