Koa'Ki Meiru Beetle ...

sucks, sucks, sucks.
I've said it before, and i'll keep saying it. I hate Koa'ki Meirus. There are only a very small few that are passable, and this ain't one of them. He's got a good attack and defense for a 4 star monster. But that's it. His effect? - lame. Switching special summoned lights and darks into DEF mode? ... yeah, its SOMETHING, but not much at all. It doesnt destroy them as some other Koa'ki Meirus can do. It doesn't knock out their effects ... nadda. If u want that strong attack on a 4 star insect monster - go with Insect Knight. At least it doesnt carry that stupid maintenance cost.

We continue the Stardust Overdrive series with the sneak preview promo card, Koa'ki Meiru Beetle. Quite the insect too, 1900 attack, 1500 defense and when a Light or Dark monster is Special Summoned in attack position, its changed to defense position. This is good cause it slows down Vayu Turbo decks among other various decks. There really isn't much else to say about this card, considering that Lightsworns use Lumina, Wulf and Judgment Dragon to special summon and well Dark based decks special summon like theres no tomorrow so you can tell Beetle will have an effect on both decks. A major effect? Hardly. You're better off using Thunder King Rai-Oh.

Koa'ki Meiru Beetle
Here we have Koa'ki Meiru beetle, today's card of the day.

During each of your End Phases, destroy this card unless you send 1 "Iron Core of Koa'ki Meiru" from your Hand to the Graveyard or reveal 1 Insect-Type Monster in your hand. When a LIGHT or DARK monster is Special Summoned in face-up Attack Position, change the Summoned monster to Defense Position.

There is one word that can sum up this card very well: Broken! Oh you thought I meant the good broken? No I meant the transmission in your car goes out and explodes kind of broken. The I dropped my mom's china on the floor broken. In other words, not matter what the situation, having this thing around is just misfortune. Its effect and attributes are just no good. You should probably avoid this card if you can. It really produces no combos or advantage. I guess it will turn JD to defense before he wipes your whole field.

Traditional 1/5, Advanced Casual 1/5, Advanced competitive 1/5
