Gravity Bind closes the week, and raises an interesting question--does anyone still play Stall?  I've always kinda liked and admired Stall Decks, so if anyone is using one, feel free to e-mail me a Deck list of it, tsearcy@lssu.edu  I'd really be interesting in looking at it.  I'm going with Stall must have died, since three Gravity Bind are legal, but alas, Mystical Space Typhoon at three, who knows?  Gravity Bind is one of the Continuous Traps worth playing, stopping all Level 4 and above Monsters from attacking.  You obviously have to construct a Deck for Gravity Bind, but that doesn't make it bad.  If you're using three, and your opponent can't get around them all, it could be a problem.  Enjoy.

Gravity Bind

IS AT 3. This may be very shocking news to veteran YuGiOh players. Yeah, this new list is warping everything. And the worst part is, it's not even a problem. We now have Heavy Storm and triple MST to deal with this. Stall decks will love this as long as they can defend it with Dark Bribe and Starlight Road.

But why do I say it's not a problem? Xyz monsters don't have levels--they have Ranks. This means that NO level-dependent card can have an effect on an Xyz monster. They can attack right through cards like Level Limit and Gravity Bind no matter what. This just isn't a reliable card any more.

Fun Fact: Tour Guide from the Underworld is going to be the most expensive card in the game's history.

Gravity Bind

Today’s card is one of the most annoying continuous trap cards I’ve ever come across. Next format this card will be at 3 and for multiple reasons. With the release of the “level-less” Xyz monsters, Heavy Storm at 1, and Mystical Space Typhoon at 3, Gravity Bind has a lot of weaknesses. Most decks will have at least 1 or 2 Xyz monsters in their extra deck, so Gravity Bind has definitely lost power. Combine that with the Spell/Trap removal we have now and you’re really in trouble. It was a cool card, but the game is too fast and too destructive for Gravity Bind to be good. Sorry stall decks :(

Gravity Bind

This card was recently confirmed to be Unlimited for the September '11 format. This card is the keystone for Stall/Burn decks, and now that it's back at three, we may see some of those decks start popping up again. However, all the new Spell/Trap hate may be the reason why this card left the Limited spot. Still, it's an annoying card that causes problems if it isn't taken care of quickly.

Alchemist Gravity Bind

Gravity Bind will become unlimited next format. And for good reason. Stalling is hard enough with Heavy Storm and three MST. Not only that, but Xyz Monsters can break through this card's lock down capabilities. Stopping Attacks of four and higher Level monsters is great but what a bout Rank 4 and higher?

Use this card with Xyz Monsters to your advantage. You're gonna need to protect your Roach somehow.

Try this with Meklords as they are generally low level. Maybe an interesting Tech in Scraps!

......but how long will it survive on the field next format?
