Pojo's Yu-Gi-Oh Card of the Day

Doppelwarrior
#STOR-EN002

When a monster is Special Summoned from your Graveyard, you can Special Summon this card from your hand. If this card is sent to the Graveyard as a Synchro Material Monster, you can Special Summon 2 "Doppel Tokens" (Warrior-Type/DARK/Level 1/ATK 400/DEF 400) in Attack Position.

Card Ratings

Dark Paladin

Doppelwarior, a Level 2, Dark attributed, Warrior, with 800 attack and defense.  This guy has a fair amount of text on him, but I don't see him as particularly fascinating. He can Special Summon himself from the Hand when you Special Summon something from the Graveyard.

If sent to the Graveyard ala Synchro Summon, you get to Special Summon two Doppel Tokens, also who are Dark and Warriors, but Level 1 and with 400 attack and defense.  Like most Tokens, they are summoned in attack position, but they can be tribued for monsters or other random effects.

I just see Doppelwarrior as too situational to do you any real good.  The tokens are a nice attempt at being able to help you, but you aren't even guaranteed that effect.  He has little to no use as an attacker or defender.

Doppelwarrior... not much to say about him, maybe. I've heard something about Synchro Summon shenanigans with Tech Genus Hyper Librarian or something, something something. You can summon him through Junk Warrior, or after Junky, but won't get a good combo unless you're reviving another Tuner. He's another situational 5D's card, and he generates tokens that are bound to get run over.

2/5
Art: In Japan, I bet that was a real gun.
Fun Fact: Friction is fabulous.
Tomorrow: Inedible.

Tomorrow: You'll be devastated because I won't have a review for you.
