If you can pronounce Svartalf's name right, you're already good with it. This odd fairy-type-thing-Tuner has a very awkward level at 5, and as a Tuner, and if you waste a summon by tributing for her, you can add a Nordic to your hand. Her bad stats keep her from being useful in battle, and her effect won't work off of a card like the Fetters of Fenrir.

Because she'll need another 5 non-Tuner levels--awkward Tuner AND non-Tuner levels--she has to live on combos. That's just plain not good for consistency, since many of those combos will revolve around you already having the pieces in play. Forget about Loki and focus on a more consistent Nordic God.

Fun Fact: This thing is a demon elf, or something.

Today's card is Svartalf of the Nordic Alfar. He's a 5star tuner who's primarily used for Loki, though he could find a spot in other Nordic decks. His ability activates when he's normal summoned, you can pull any Nordic monster from your graveyard to your hand. Since he's 5 stars, you'll have to tribute to get his ability, but Nordics, especially the black and white goats, can special summon themselves and spew tokens easily enough that having a tribute shouldn't be a problem. His recycling ability is nice, but not too useful early game. Definitely a good card for Loki decks, but other flavors of Nordic have better support for them.

Svartalf of the Nordic Alfar is the outcast Nordic kid nobody wants to play with. And with good reason: He doesn't play nice with the other Nordics. There's a reason Loki doesn't see much play, and it's this guy. He's a tribute and his stats are terrible. He sort of works with Dverg and Ljosalf of the Nordic Alfar, but it's a lot of effort just to get Loki when the Nordic Beasts can get Thor or Odin out easier.
And with the recently announced Mara of the Nordic Alfar, this card just gets worse.
