Pojo's Yu-Gi-Oh Card of the Day

Hushed Psychic Cleric
#EXVC-EN027

When this card is Normal or Flip Summoned, it is changed to Defense Position. Once per turn, you can send 1 card from your hand to the Graveyard to select 1 Psychic-Type monster in your Graveyard, and remove it from play. When this card is sent from the field to the Graveyard, select 1 monster removed from play by this effect, and Special Summon it.

Card Ratings
Traditional: 2.25
Advanced: 3.45

Ratings are based on a 1 to 5 scale
1 being the worst. 3 is average. 5 is the highest rating.

Hushed Psychic Cleric continues Psychic week, who as I've been stating, really plays well with the two monsters, among others, we've looked at this week.  We have a Level 3, Earth attributed, Psychic monster, with 0 attack but a nice 2100 defense.  Now, once a turn, you can send a card from your Hand to your Graveyard, to remove a a Psychic monster from your Graveyard from play.  It may seem like kind of a big deal to discard a card in able to do this, but it allows you to remove pretty much whatever you want...at least as long as you're holding it and willing to discard it.  When this card goes from the Field to the Graveyard, (again, in no specific manner), Special Summon any one monster that was removed from play by this cards effect.  I like it, and that could be big.

Hushed Psychic Cleric is our next Psychic teleport card. He sits there with a sound 2100 DEF--topping Cyber Dragon--and lets you discard a card to be used for any Psychic in your graveyard once he leaves the field. Since it gets removed first, this will trigger my favorite Esper Girl and Mental Seeker!

And since this is a Sangan-type effect that will never miss the timing, feel free to make a Synchro! At level 3, this will make a 5 or 6 (Magical Android or Psychic Nightmare, basically), or potentially a 9 (like Overmind Archfiend, perhaps?).

And you can remove any Psychic--even a Synchro! Even that Overmind Archfiend, if you manage to get one out. You have nothing to lose with this solid card.

3.8/5
Art: Can't get enough of those circles.
Fun Fact: I don't have a fun fact right now.

With that visor on all I can think of is that old robot fighting game Virtual On Marz. I used to love that game. Anyway we have another new psychic monster, Hushed Psychic With. I guess she doesn't talk, which is great because that last thing I want to hear about is how bad your day was when I worked all day and skipped lunch to finish this research and.....um....back to the review. Hushed is another three star with 0 atk/ 2100 def that is placed into defense mode upon normal or flip summon. Once per turn you can send one card from your hand to the grave to remove a Psychic type monster from play. The best part about this is when this card is sent from field to grave you can SS one of the monsters removed by this effect. So late game...you can bring back any of monsters to begin synching again; Overdrive Teleporter, or your boss monster; Overmind Archfiend, to really "Bring The Pain". Mind Over Matter is another great option that comes to mind; no pun intended.

Just imagine your potential OTK combos with Mind Master, Esper Girl, Overdrive Teleporter, etc. Outside of the psychic archtype the with is pretty useless but as I've stated this new support gives the archtype the boost it needs to get back into the competitve swing of things. How competitve is beyond me, but I look forward to seeing the results.
