Finally we get to the good stuff. Evolzar Dolkka is one of the best Xyz monsters in the game. Unfortunately or fortunately, however you want to look at it, it takes 2 dinosaur monsters to make Dolkka. For this reason, you will only see Dolkka being played in Evol or Dino-Rabbit decks. Now here comes the good stuff. Dolkka has the awesome ability to negate monster effects and destroy them. That just about shuts down every deck out there.

That means Thunder King, D.D. Crow, Effect Veiler, Reborn Tengu, Gorz, Battle Fader, Tour Guide, Chaos monsters, Dark World, Monarchs, Gladiator Beasts, Gadgets, and you name it, all negated. Most decks need monster effects to produce big monsters, so Synchroing and Xyzing will all be stopped.

Summoning Evolzar Dolkka is as easy as summoning a Rescue Rabbit. Use Rabbit’s effects to get ether 2 Sabersaurus or 2 Kabazauls. Now all you need to do is protect Evolzar Dolkka from magic and trap cards. Just throw in some Forbidden Lances and your good to go. The card we are reviewing tomorrow will also do the trick so stay tuned to this bat channel.

Now we're looking at the really good stuff here on Evol week PT. 2.We're looking at Evolzar Dolkka, a Rank 4 Fire/Dragon type Xyz monster, with 2300 ATK and 1700 DEF, that needs 2 Level 4 Dinosaur monsters. I Dolkka's effect is; When an effect monster activates its effect, you can detach 1 Xyz material from Dolkka to negate the activation and destroy that monster. Simply put, this card is a must in any type of Dinosaur deck. Need to get it out in a pinch? Rescue Rabbit gets you 2 normal level 4 dinos out faster than you can say Overlay Network. Its ability to stop 2 of your opponent's monster effect and wipe them out in the process is very good. Even its stats make it a little tough to take out by battle. A must have/need to any dinosaur deck.

Tomorrow: Activating a spell card? I think not.

Angelic Nightmare

Today we are reviewing the scarier looking of two evils.

Evolzar Dolkka
Fire/ Dragon/ Rank 4/ 2300 ATK/ 1700 DEF
2 Level 4 Dinosaur-Type monsters
When an Effect Monster's effect activates: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; negate the activation and destroy it.

Today we have the bane of many decks and the Dino version of Effect Veiler that can do much more. This card can stop Reborn Tengu’s effect from going off in the battle step and is a great asset to any Dino deck.

Primarily seen in the infamous Dino-Rabbit decks utilizing 3x Rescue Rabbit, 3x Kabozauls, and 3x Sabersaraus, this card as long as its counterpart put in some pretty decent work. The budget builds also run an efficient semi-aggro engine that use Jurrac Guiba and/or Hydrogeddons. With Guiba Hydrogeddon yielding similar effects, they both are key players that get the job done fast when running over your opponent’s chump blockers.

Over all, this card is great if you can run it. It stops many effects that Effect Veiler cannot outside of the main phase.

Pros: Effect Veiler-type effect with muscle and fairly easy reqirements in Dino Decks.

Cons: I can see this card being better if it at least had the attack of your standard Monarch monster.

wow! This guy is good. He can optionally shut down up to 2 monster effects and kill them for doing so. Since 99.9% of all monsters used nowadays are effect monsters, that gives him tons of usability. Also, his stats are fairly good, keeping him on the field and forcing the opponent to use a S/T to get rid of him. Sadly, he's limited to dino decks, but he gives them a huge advantage. All-in-all, a solid monster to run in any dino deck.
