Cyber Angel Benten
- #DRL3-EN012

You can Ritual Summon this card with "Machine Angel Ritual". If this card destroys a monster by battle and sends it to the Graveyard: Inflict damage to your opponent equal to that monster's original DEF in the Graveyard. If this card is Tributed: You can add 1 LIGHT Fairy-Type monster from your Deck to your hand.

Cyber Angel Benten

Benten is the current bread-and-butter of Cyber Angel decks. And that should surprise no one because of one key reason: the fact that she can search for any light fairy instead of just the Cyber Angels. Because of this one key component, Benten not only makes Cyber Angels work, but also all sorts of hybrids involving Saffira, Herald of Perfection, Herald of Ultimateness, etc. And let’s not forget Honest, Cyber Petit Angel, Manju, or the Heralds of Light. A card that lets you search for most of your deck? Yes please.

Now currently, Cyber Angels operate using just Benten, Idaten, and Dakini, so the most common builds try to take advantage of Saffira and Herald of Perfect and create harmony among the level 6 realm. But once the new Cyber Angels come out, how will the pure builds use Benten? Well, there shouldn’t be any reduction for the same reason mentioned earlier. Benten is still going to be able to provide you with those great searches-into-searchers plays, which will let you thin the deck at crazy speeds. And thinning the deck leads to drawing better cards like Ritual Sanctuary, which lets you do other things. And to top it off, Benten isn’t once per turn, which is a huge benefit in this day and age. This only becomes more beneficial when Vishnu comes and you need a combination of 10 stars in tributes.

This is the star of the theme and a must-run in triplicate. Even when the new support comes, I can’t imagine a reason to run less of her, and that makes her a super star.

Cyber Angel Benten

The stats are unimpressive and the battle effect is nice to have, but you don't use this card to summon it.  Its last effect is excellent.  When tributed, it searches.  So you can use Benten to help summon another Ritual monster.  Maybe a Cyber Angel, or Herald of Perfection (that deck will love this card) and others.  This card makes Ritual summons free(er).  Use 3 of these in a Fairy/Ritual or CyberAngel deck

Hello Pojo Fans,

Cyber Angel Benten will be the first Cyber Angel Ritual Monster we look at this week.

While 1800ATK isn't what you want to see from a Level 6, support will help aid this lady. Destroy a monster, send it to the grave and burn your opponent for that monsters DEF to their LP. If your opponent sets a monster this monster is likely able to destroy at and will do some decent burn damage. While most monsters have weaker DEF than one would like when using that stat to burn their opponent, the use of Honest or other support to raise Benten's ATK will help against boss monsters with strong defense. Smash into a Kozmo boss monster with Honest to aid you and you may be doing over 4000 damage that turn alone. If the graveyard is taken away though this monsters first effect is useless to you.

Tribute Benten in your hand via the Ritual Spell for a different Cyber Angel and you get a free search for any LIGHT Fairy monster, not just Cyber Angels. Grab another searcher, a Cyber Angel, or monster like Archlord Kristya that you tossed in. Benten is alright, and good for use as tribute, but will need some aid to really get a good amount out of both effects.

This card is necessary at 3 in its own deck and in Herald of Perfection decks. The stats aren't great. She's a Level 6 Light Fairy-type Ritual Monster with 1800 Atk and 1500 Def. Even the regular effect doesn't matter. If she destroys a monster by battle and sends it to the grave, she inflicts damage to the opponent equal to the monster's defense in the grave. A lot of monsters have 0 Def, making this effect useless. Benton's 1800 Atk is also problematic for beating other monsters without Honest or yesterday's card's support. However, damage is damage, and options are nice.
The money effect triggers when Benten is tributed for any reason. She gets to search any Light Fairy-type monster from the deck to the hand. The best parts of this effect are that it can search itself, and the effect has no once per turn clause. The monster doesn't need to be a ritual, so many Light Fairy decks can splash this card in so long as there is a way to tribute her. Rank 8 Heliopolis comes to mind. All in all, a great searcher for the Cyber Angel deck or future other Light Fairy decks.
