Vision HERO Vyon

- #DUSA-EN021

If this card is Normal or Special Summoned: You can send 1 "HERO" monster from your Deck to the Graveyard. You can only use this effect of "Vision HERO Vyon" once per turn. Once per turn: You can banish 1 "HERO" monster from your Graveyard; add 1 "Polymerization" from your Deck to your hand.

Vision HERO Vyon

Good lord, this card is insane. Like, who reading this can name another monster that will net you a plus 2 by simply summoning it in any way without any help from cards in your hand or on your field? I sure can’t. Vision HERO Vyon is a monster that perhaps is too late to affect the meta right now, but will assuredly do big things in the future.

Obviously, the monster that makes the Vyon engine go is Shadow Mist. By sending Mist to the grave with Vyon’s first effect, you get to search for another HERO, including Vyon! Or, if you’re playing OCG, you can search for one of your two copies of Stratos. Then, in the same turn, you can banish that same Mist you dropped to search for Poly. Folks, that’s what we call an enabler. The fact that he’s also a primo target for Mask Change after all his opening shenanigans is exquisite frosting on the cake. Trust me on this fact: there will eventually be ridiculous abuse of both this and Legacy of a HERO. There’s too many plusses to be had. It’s just unfortunate that the TCG hasn’t been able to enjoy the benefits of Stratos for such a long time. (Free Stratos!)

This monster is legit Mist 2.0 in every way, and it adds crucial presence to all three types of HERO decks (There’s actually seven types of HERO monsters, but I’m ignoring Evil, Entertainment, Contrast and Vision due to lack of depth). As a dark type, it furthers the main plays Mask Heroes need, including making Allure of Darkness and Mask Change much more consistent. It works wonders in Destiny Hero decks, allowing you to dump Malicious, which should be a key player after link monsters are legal, or Mist to search for Diamond Dude. And in E-Heroes, do I even need to make an argument? This card is an absolute, unmitigated staple for all Hero decks, a must-run in triplicate. And just for funsies, let me also point out that Vyon’s search isn’t limited by level, so in a pinch you could summon him, search for Honest Neos, and make him a 3500 ATK beater. The unlimited usefulness this monster possesses is laughable. Even after link summoning arrives, I expect this monster to be incredible.

Hello Pojo Fans,

Vision HERO Vyon is another HERO monster that adds more support to the archetype. A DARK Warrior with under 1500ATK has plenty of support behind it, but its effect activating on being Normal or Special Summoned is what gives this card consideration in the deck.

Foolish Burial-effect for a HERO is a great way to get any HERO in your grave for Miracle Fusion, using D-HERO Malicious or E-HERO Shadow Mist's effects, or Mask Change. Banishing a HERO in the grave for a Poly from your deck is an even cost, and can easily be attained in the later stages of the game. E-HERO The Sinning and E-HERO Voltec also benefit from the banishing to search out Poly.

Another target for Dark Law, another monster to facilitate big Fusion plays and Xyz Summons.

Vision HERO Vyon is another Fusion option tech type card for the archtype.  So when Normal or Special Summoned (versatility is good) you can then send a Hero to the Graveyard (from your Deck) which can add with Fusion Summoning, as well as other standard Hero tactics.  Furthermore, once a turn, you can remove a Hero Monster from your Graveyard to add a Polymerization from your Deck to your Hand.  This card is more or less as good as yesterday in my opinion.  There's a million ways to do Fusion, especially for Heroes,
