Dark Maltos's Dueling Dome
Maltos’s Friday deck - Mechanic Panic

September 15, 2006

Well ladies and gents, it seems I’m getting lazy. I haven’t posted anything since my opening chapter of my story which PERSONALLY I thought was quite good, but I didn’t get any replies for it (except one from an “impressed” Mofox, which was cool) which sucks, and sort of discouraged me a bit…snivel…, but I digress. Truth be told, what with starting school again, and work tomorrow, my time’s been cut short considerably, so you’ll be seeing a lot less of me lately.

Well, some fans wrote in asking for a machine deck thing, so that’s where I’m going with this. It’s quite late for article writing right now, sop I guess this’ll probably be pretty simple.

Machine decks have set themselves up of late to be a GREAT deck type, and a theme specific to be feared. They possess a WIDE variety of powerful, effective cards that can conjure up a huge amount of hurt for any poor dude who has to face them, and can be REALLY fun to play.

Cyber Dragon ( & Co)

A good machine deck would be incomplete without these deck hopping little 2100’s. Free special summons, full of fusion support, and a crushing card in ANY deck, there’s no way that they aren’t finding a way into this deck.

The fusions on the other hand require a little bit more thought. Cyber end Dragon as well as Cyber Twin can hit the field hard with Cyber Stein a staple in this deck. Not only that, the support from simply fusing a fair few machines that will be readily available in this great deck is a utility that simply gels in nicely with the theme. Power bond will find its way in to help incorporate this.

Chimeratech will require another simply teched Overload fusion , as there’s a good chance that you’ll easily be able to do it and reach a FAIRL powerful Dragon out of it. Also, a teched Future fusion will fill up another spot, as you never know.

Jinzo :

I could not make any machine deck without this guy in it. Jinzo oozes machine, being one, a fairly good attacker, and one of the best tribute monsters ever made. The trap lock down helps the attacking element that machines are famous for.

Reflect Bounder :

As machines go, Reflect Bounder has now proven itself to be one of the best level 4 options out there with its nice attack, and potent ability that will quickly mount up in a deck like this and in this format.

Cyber Phoenix :

A great support card, a lord of D for machines, as well as a potential draw monster . Cyber Phoenix covers it all, and gives machines a fair few immunities. A must have.

Dekoichi the battle scared locomotive :

A card it don’t particularly like, but is not bad in a machine deck. 1400 is quite a lot for a flip effect monster, and at least he replaces himself.

Cyber Stein ;

Staple for the deck, just for the potential to end the game in one turn. Also a quick CED summoner.

Drillroid ;

Ahhh yes, this’ll nail a few nuisance monsters, as well as having those fairly decent stats of 1600/ 1600. Worth inclusion, just a shame it doesn’t negate flip effects, but ahhh well.

Heavy Mech support Platform ;

A very under - rated, and superb union monster. Stick this one ANY machine monster, and give it a 500 attack boost. That’d make a Cyber Dragon 2600, or a Cyber Twin dragon 3100 !!! Hmm, you’re thinking…not bad, but worth the effort? Hardly. Well, that’s where you’re wrong. Heavy mech also has that ever so sweet lil ability where if the equipped monster would be destroyed, this lil guy goes instead !! Now that’s sweet, protecting your investment in your fusions and the like, as well as boosting them up enough to make a huge difference.

S/t wise, the obvious card to include is Limiter Removal which acts as a mass Mega morph as well as being quick play, with the only downside being that your monsters die at the end of the turn. Big whoop I say, chances are they’d die anyway. Also, as well as the above mentioned, a couple of giant Trunade’s will give the deck the s/t removal that is so vital for success.

Fusion Deck ;

Cyber End Dragon (x3)
Cyber Twin Dragon (x3)
Chimeratech Over dragon (x3)

Monsters (20)

Jinzo
Cyber Dragon (x3)

Reflect bounder (x3)
Cyber Phoenix (x3)
Dekoichi the battle scarred locomotive (x2)
Drillroid (x2)
Cyber Stein
Heavy Mech support platform (x2)
Sangan
Spirit Reaper
Breaker the magical warrior

Spells ; 13

Giant Trunade (x2)
Limiter Removal
Future Fusion
Power Bond
Overload fusion
Graceful Charity
Pre mature burial
Heavy Storm
Mystical Space typhoon
Nobleman of Crossout
Lightning Vortex
Swords of Revealing light

Traps (7)

Ring of Destruction
Mirror Force
Torrential Tribute
Call of the Haunted
Waboku
Dust Tornado (x2)

And there you have it, a basic , fusion related machine deck. Fairly good I’d say, and with the right tweaking, very cool. Play test it and find out. When the Gadgets come out, I’ll do an alternative build, that should be really cool.

Weell, tell me what you think, as always ;

Have a good one guys.
