Dark Paladin's Yu-Gi-Oh! Dimension
I am a Featured Writer!
11.15.07

Hello again to Pojo and Yugioh fans one and all! I've seemed to regained my confidence, as the title of the article shows, and as I talked about Gladiator Beasts in my previous article, I'll be talking about the new Evil Heroes in depth.

Note: I purposely ignored Gladiator Beast-Octavious as he is our Card of the Day in this week, so all my thoughts on him you can find there.

Evil Hero Malicious Edge

Earth

Level 7

Atk 2600 Def 1800

[Fiend/Effect]

If your opponent controls a monster, you can Normal Summon this card with 1 Tribute. During battle between this attacking card and a Defense Position monster whose DEF is lower than the ATK of this card, inflict the difference as Battle Damage to your opponent.

Super Rare/Ultimate Rare

Malicious Edge is a great monster, as we all ready looked at in Card of the Day this week. A 2600 attack for one tribute, as long as your opponent controls a monster? Fantastic, and the trample is a Bonus.

Evil Hero Infernal Gainer

Earth Level 4

Atk 1600 Def 0

Fiend-Effect

During your Main Phase 1, you can remove this card from play and select

1 face-up Fiend-Type monster you control. That monster can attack twice during each Battle Phase. Special Summon this card in face-up Attack Position during your second Standby Phase after you activate this effect.

Rare

Lousy editing...didn't Hell sound better than Infernal? Anyway, this guy is sort of like Strike Ninja, but for Evil Heroes. However, instead of just removing himself, he allows a Fiend you control to attack twice in the same Battle Phase. Splashable even into Fiends with a 1600 attack.

GLAS-EN036

Elemental Hero Chaos Neos

Dark Level 9

Atk 3000 Def 2500

Warrior/Fusion/Effect

"Elemental Hero Neos" + "Neo-Spacian Dark Panther" + "Neo-Spacian Glow Moss"

This card can only be Special Summoned from your Fusion Deck by returning the above cards you control to the Deck. (You do not use

"Polymerization".) During the End Phase, return this card to the Fusion Deck, then Set all face-up monsters currently on the field. Once per turn, you can toss a coin 3 times and apply the appropriate effect.

3 Heads: Destroy all monsters your opponent controls.

2 Heads: This turn, the effects of all face-up monsters your opponent controls are negated.

1 Head: Return all monsters you control to their owner's hand.

Holographic Rare/Secret Rare

Chaos Neos has two things working against him for the start...being a three monster Fusion and being a Secret Rare. Two Heads and Three Heads are both good results, and only One Head can bite you right in the ass. 3000 attack is good, but not the best card folks.

GLAS-EN037

Elemental Hero Plasma Vice

EARTH

Level 8

ATK/2600 DEF/2300

Warrior/Fusion/Effect

"Elemental Hero Sparkman" + "Elemental Hero Bladedge"

This monster cannot be Special Summoned except by Fusion Summon. During battle between this card and a Defense Position monster whose DEF is lower than the ATK of this card, inflict the difference as Battle Damage to your opponent's Life Points. Once per turn, by discarding 1 card from your hand, select and destroy 1 face-up Attack Position monster your opponent controls.

Secret Rare

Plasma Vice is also a Secret Rare Fusion...not a good thing. You can have a 1 for 1 each turn possibly, by discarding and destroying a face up attack postition monster your opponent controls. He also has trample, so there are worse E-Hero effects.

GLAS-EN038

Evil Hero Inferno Wing

Fire Level 6

Atk 2100 Def 1200

Fiend/Fusion/Effect

"Elemental Hero Avian" + "Elemental Hero Burstinatrix"

This monster cannot be Special Summoned except with "Dark Fusion".

During battle between this attacking card and a Defense Position monster whose DEF is lower than the ATK of this card, inflict the difference as Battle Damage to your opponent. When this card destroys a monster by battle and sends it to the Graveyard, inflict damage to your opponent equal to either the ATK or DEF of the destroyed monster, whichever is higher.

Ultra Rare/Ultimate Rare

GLAS-EN039

Evil Hero Lightning Golem

Light Level 6

Atk 2400 Def 1600

Fiend/Fusion/Effect

"Elemental Hero Sparkman" + "Elemental Hero Clayman"

This card cannot be Special Summoned except by "Dark Fusion". Once per turn, you can destroy 1 monster on the field.

Ultra Rare/Ultimate Rare

Refer to Card of the Day for thoughts on the previous two Evil Hero Fusions :)

GLAS-EN040

Evil Hero Dark Gaia

Earth Level 8

Atk ? Def 0

1 Fiend-Type monster + 1 Rock-Type monster Fiend/Fusion/Effect This monster cannot be Special Summoned except with "Dark Fusion". The original ATK of this card is equal to the combined ATK of the Fusion Material Monsters used to Fusion Summon it. When this card declares an attack, change all Defense Position monsters your opponent controls to face-up Attack Position. (Flip Effects are not activated at this time.) Rare

Dark Gaia is a very respectable Fusion who has the potential to be incredibly powerful, as his attack is the combined attack of the two monsters used to fuse him. He's only a Rare, and he can change all your opponent's defense monsters to attack mode when he attacks, and negate their effects. Nicely done!

Well, that's it for this article, and I hope you enjoyed it. As always, please feel free to contact me with anything @ tsearcy@lssu.edu

You stay classy, Planet Earth :)

~Dark Paladin~
