Dark Paladin's Yu-Gi-Oh! Dimension
Discussin the (possible) Ban List
08.21.07

Hello again to Pojo and Yugioh fans one and all! Thanks so much for the sympath and kindness from everyone who read my previous article and understood my situation. Anyway, from the forums, this is the official Online Card Game list, and we generally get the same, if not a similar list, as the last few formats have taught us. So everything said below, is under the assumption that THIS is our list. Obviously, it is subject to change.

I. Forbidden Cards

You cannot use these cards in your Deck or Side Deck:

Black Luster Soldier - Envoy of the Beginning Butterfly Dagger - Elma Change of Heart Chaos Emperor Dragon - Envoy of the End Choas Sorceror Confiscation Cyber Jar Cyber-Stein Dark Hole Delinquent Duo Exchange of the Spirit Fiber Jar Graceful Charity Harpie's Feather Duster Imperial Order Last Turn Last Will Magicial Scientist Makyura the Destructor Metamorphosis Mirage of Nightmare Monster Reborn Painful Choise Pot of Greed Raigeki Ring of Destruction Sinister Serpant Snatch Steal The Forceful Sentry Thousand-Eyes Restrict Time Seal Tribe-Infecting Virus Tsukuyomi Victory Dragon Witch of the Black Forest Yata-Garasu

NEW! – Confiscation, Metamorphosis, Ring of Destruction, Snatch Steal

Confiscation--I can't argue with this. Hand disruption is one of the most annoying factors in Yugioh, and Confiscation is one of the best cards for it.

Metamorphosis--Brining back Magician of Faith and Thousand Eye Restrict was cool, but leaving Metamorphosis would have been a catastrophe.
This was absolutely necessary.

Ring of Destruction--Again, I can't argue at all. It has pros and cons, fun to use, hate to have it used against you.

Snatch Steal--Like Ring, fun to use, sucks to have used against you.
We can do without it.

II. Limited Cards

You can only use one of the following cards in the Deck & Side Deck
combined:

Book of Moon
Brain Control
Breaker the Magical Warrior
Call of the Haunted
Card Destruction
Card Trooper
Ceasfire
Chain Strike
Crush Card Virus
D. D. Warrior Lady
Dark Magician of Chaos
Destiny Hero – Disk Commander
Dimensional Fusion
Elemental Hero Stratos
Exodia the Forbidden One
Fissure
Future Fusion
Giant Trunade
Gravity Bind
Heavy Storm
Left Arm of the Forbidden One
Left Leg of the Forbidden One
Level Limit - Area B
Limiter Removal
Mage Power
Magic Cylinder
Magician of Faith
Megamorph
Mind Crush
Mirror Force
Morphing Jar
Mystical Space Typhoon
Neo-Spacian Grand Mole
Night Assailant
Overload Fusion
Premature Burial
Right Arm of the Forbidden One
Right Leg of the Forbidden One
Sangan
Scapegoat
Smashing Ground
Snipe Hunter
Spirit Reaper
Swords of Revealing Light
The Transmigration Prophecy
Torrential Tribute
Trap Dustshoot
Treeborn Frog
Twin-Headed Behemoth
Ultimate Offering
United we Stand
Wall of Revealing Light

NEW! – Brain Control, Breaker the Magical Warrior, Card Trooper, Destiny Hero – Disk Commander, Fissure, Magician of Faith, Megamorph, Smashing Ground, Snipe Hunter, The Transmigration Prophecy, Trap Dustshoot, Wall of Revealing Light

Brain Control--A good decision, lots of people used two or three, and why not? It definately adds speed to your Monrachs.

Breaker--Sweet, but we were fine without him. I think we lose a little discipline getting him back.

Card Trooper--A powerful and unwieldly card, I can't say I disagree with this.

Magician of Faith--Like Breaker, it's nice to have her back, but we were all right without her also. I'm not sure we necessarily needed it back.

Megamorph--A devestating card at the hand of a Chimeratech finisher, along with many others. I'm happy with this.

Snipe Hunter--I really don't think this was a big enough problem to warrant a restriction, but it can be a powerful card.

The Transmigration Prophecy--A card I liked since it was released, I can understand this, yet I don't at the same time. It isn't a big problem.

Trap Dustshoot--People have been complaining about this for a while now, so I guess it got what it deserved.

Wall of Revealing Light--A good move, I can't say I'll be very upset about this.

Fissure/Smashing Ground--Always nice to see field destruction cards limited or banned. I admit they are good, but it's less things to worry about :)

III. Semi-Limited Cards

You can only use two of the following cards in the Deck & Side Deck
combined:

Apprentice Magician
Creature Swap
Destiny Hero – Malicious
Green Gadget
Jinzo
Manticore of Darkness
Mask of Darkness
Nobleman of Crossout
Pot of Avarice
Reckless Greed
Red Gadget
Reinforcements of the Army
Royal Decree
Yellow Gadget

Destiny Hero-Malicious--Another blow to Diamond Dube Turbo, and a couple of others. I'm not all that happy about this.

Gadgets--All three Gadgets are now Semi-Restricted. This does hinder them a little, but still having two doesn't terribly slow them down.

Jinzo--I have very mixed feelings about this. Obviously people are favoring Mobius and other Monarchs over Jinzo, but will he be a problem in two? We'll have to wait and see.

Pot of Avarice--A good thing I suppose, but again, it isn't necessarily necessary. It is powerful, and can be an excellent way to replenish certain monsters.

Royal Decree--Intersting, very interesting that this is at two along with Jinzo. We'll have to see how this plays out.

NEW! – Destiny Hero – Malicious, Green Gadget, Jinzo, Nobleman of Crossout, Pot of Avarice, Red Gadget, Royal Decree, Yellow Gadget

NEW! - The following cards are no longer Limited: D.D. Assailant, Deck Devastation Virus, Good Goblin Housekeeping, Protector of the Sanctuary

Three DD Assailants? Three Good Goblin housekeeping? Hmm...that, along with Jinzo and Royal Decree at two will be discussed in my next article, assuming this IS our list. That does it for today, and feel free to e-mail me with anything @ tsearcy@lssu.edu

You stay classy, Planet Earth :)
