Cata-cannon-swarm-burn
March 9, 2006

Hello Everyone,

Today's Article is dedicated to a man with nothing better to do..... He sent me these decks, and asked me how to make them better.

My logic, you can not fix that which is not broke.

So I am going to feature 2 of his decks as a means of showing you alternative ways to play burn. Look at them, formulate, plot, admire. A good deck deserves to be seen; and I feel it is my job to help that ideal out.

Cata-cannon-swarm-burn

Deck count: 40

Monsters x 23

2 x catapult turtle

3 x cannon soldier
3 x marauding captain
3 x mystic tomato
3 x peten the dark clown
3 x gravekeeper's spy
2 x stealth bird
1 x goblin attack force
1 x goblin elite attack force
1 x sangan
1 x cyber jar

Magics x 15

3 x last will
3 x brain control
3 x soul exchange
2 x level limit area b
1 x messenger of peace
1 x scapegoat
1 x pot of avarice
1 x swords of revealing light

traps x 2
2 x gravity bind
_____________________________

The concept of the deck involves swarming the field with monsters, then
killing them off with cannon soldier and catapult turtle to drain the opponent of
their lifepoints.

The goblin attack forces were added in there for the catapult turtle.

Stealing the opponent's monsters is a big thing in this deck as well.
With 3 brain control and 3 soul exchange, and much stall, the opponent will have
trouble both attacking and keeping field presence.

The pot of avarice is thrown in to resupply your resources aka ammo.

Stealth bird is practically a must in any burn, but i had to cut him to 2 to keep the
40 card minimum deck count.

Last will is a pretty good tech in the deck. Kill your monster and get more ammo!

here is his second deck.....................................
D.D. Dynamite Deck

Deck count x 41

Monsters x 19

3 x D.D. Crazy Beast this is the only thing I'd recommend needing Help. Either use D.D. Assailant or a way to boost attack.
1 x D.D. Warrior lady
3 x D.D. warrior
1 x sangan
1 x magician of faith
3 x kycoo the ghost destroyer
1 x cyber jar
3 x penguin soldier
1 x tsukuyomi
2 x Mask of Darkness

Magics x 17

3 x D.D. Designator
1 x Nobleman of Crossout
3 x soul release
1 x swords of revealing light
1 x dark hole
1 x heavy storm
2 x swords of concealing light
1 x MST
1 x book of moon
3 x Wave-Motion Cannon

Traps x 5

3 x D.D. Dynamite
2 x threatening roar
______________________________

The focus of this deck is to remove as many of your opponent's cards from play as
possible then kill him with your d.d. dynamite.

This deck, unlike many other conventional forms of burn, can also be and is
aggressive.

The D.D. monsters are there for the removal
So is Kycoo

Mask of darkness gets back Dynamite.

penguin soldiers are there for D.D. Designator

Tsukuyomi is there for multiple flips.

Swords of Concealing light is there for D.D. Crazy beast & Warrior lady
without the certainty that they would be killed after battle.

Same for book of moon.

Wave-Motion cannon is there for alternate means of winning.

threatening roar is there for some stall, though not much.
