UPPER DECK ENTERTAINMENT INVITES Yu-Gi-Oh!

TRADING CARD GAME FANS TO TAKE A ‘SNEAK PREVIEW’ OF NEW SHADOW OF INFINITY EXPANSION SET

Sneak Preview Event Offers First Glimpse of

New Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG Expansion Set Scheduled to Release in Early March

CARLSBAD, Calif. (February 8, 2006) -- Celebrating the much-anticipated release of the newest Yu-Gi-Oh! TRADING CARD GAME expansion set – Shadow of Infinity -- Upper Deck Entertainment (UDE), the official distributor of Yu-Gi-Oh! TRADING CARD GAME, invites Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG fans to a sneak preview of the upcoming set on Saturday and Sunday, February 18 and 19.  Held in over 60 North American cities, the Shadow of Infinity Sneak Preview event allows Duelists a chance to get their hands on the new cards before they are available in stores in March.  Duelists can also compete to win prizes, and receive a new and exclusive Sneak Preview promotional card.

To find a Shadow of Infinity Sneak Preview event location, Internet users can log on to www.yugiohpreview.com.

The strongest monsters in the world of “Yu-Gi-Oh! GX” (Cartoon Network’s new animated series) emerge from the shadows in this latest set with the legendary “Sangenma” cards – GX’s newest and most powerful cards that mirror the effects of the highly-sought-after Egyptian God Cards.  Also featuring over 20 additional cards from the “GX” series, the set allows Duelists to swarm opponents with powerful Insects, bring about the “End of the World” with two new Ritual Monsters and have their “Cyber Dragon Hordes” cards get stronger with new and improved Dragons.

Each booster pack will contain one special rare card.  Special Edition packs (available late March) will include three Shadow of Infinity booster packs and one Variant Card.  All cards featured in the Shadow of Infinity set currently appear on the “Yu-Gi-Oh!” and “Yu-Gi-Oh! GX” animated series, allowing Duelists to create decks and themes seen on television.

Among Duelists, the demand for booster sets has continued to increase as more Duelists compete in the Duelist League and Hobby Store Leagues, held in neighborhood hobby stores across North America.  There are currently more than 700,000 Duelists registered in more than 7,000 stores across North America.

In recent years, the Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG has earned top spots on the hottest Christmas wish lists at KB Toys, and was listed as one of the most highly sought-after toys in Toy Wishes Magazine, Business Week, Wall Street Journal and USA Today.

The Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG is a product of the KONAMI CORPORATION, and is distributed worldwide (with the exception of Asia) by the Upper Deck Company.
