KONAMI DIGITAL ENTERTAINMENT TO SHOWCASE ITS VAST

Yu-Gi-Oh! TRADING CARD GAME PORTFOLIO

AT GAMA TRADE SHOW

El Segundo, CA (March 17, 2014) – Konami Digital Entertainment, Inc. (Konami), a returning sponsor, will once again be exhibiting its extensive product portfolio at the Game Manufacturers Association’s (GAMA) annual tradeshow (GTS).  The company will be highlighting its 2014 Yu-Gi-Oh! TRADING CARD GAME (TCG) products scheduled for release through the first half of 2014 in the Konami booth (#206) from March 19th – 20th at Bally’s in Las Vegas, Nevada.

“We value the hands-on opportunity we have with our customers at GAMA and the environment is a terrific platform to showcase our Yu-Gi-Oh! TRADING CARD GAME products that we plan to release through August. We are excited to show off our 2014 line with some brand new product formats that will exceed the needs and wants of our customers and satisfy both seasoned Duelists and new players” said Yumi Hoashi, Vice President of Card Business for Konami Digital Entertainment, Inc.

Debuting earlier this month Legacy of the Valiant: Deluxe Edition gives Duelists a second chance to get their hands on the year’s first set, Legacy of the Valiant, with powerful support cards for Chronomaly, Bujin, Monarch, Ghostrick, and Gravekeeper Decks. Each Legacy of the Valiant: Deluxe Edition contains nine booster packs, plus foil versions of one Common and one Rare card from Legacy of the Valiant, one pack of 50 promotional sleeves, and best of all one of two foil version preview cards from the upcoming Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG booster Primal Origin, either Sylvan Cherubsprout or Bujintervention, both legal to play on its release. Each Deluxe Edition comes in one of two storage boxes, one featuring Evilswarms and the other, Gravekeepers. MSRP: $29.99 per box.

Just in time for the busy Spring vacation and Easter selling season, Premium Gold lands on store shelves March 28th.  The Premium Gold set is a treasure trove of awesome cards and introduces a new Gold Secret card rarity, with a ton of new, never-released cards.  In addition, it takes the best of past Gold Series sets, with Gold Rare cards that have been previously available only through limited channels which now will be available to all Duelists at hobby stores and retailers nationwide.  Each five-card Premium Gold mini-pack contains two Gold Secrets – each card is either a brand new, never-before-seen card, or one of three Legendary God Cards from the original Yu-Gi-Oh! series: Obelisk the Tormenter, Slifer the Sky Dragon, and The Winged Dragon of Ra. Additionally, each mini-pack also has three standard Gold Rares – one card never released as a Gold Rare before, plus two of the greatest hits from a past Gold Series set, all for an MSRP of $14.99 per box.

The highly anticipated Dragons of Legend booster packs make their long-awaited debut on April 25th. Cards drawn from all four Yu-Gi-Oh! television series are the stars of this set including some of the most popular and fan-requested television cards, such as Dark Magician Girl the Dragon Knight.  The Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG Dragons of Legend includes dozens of brand new cards from the original Yu-Gi-Oh! TV series, Yu-Gi-Oh! GX, Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D’s, and Yu-Gi-Oh! ZEXAL. At an MSRP of $3.99, each five-card pack is guaranteed to contain four powerful Super Rare cards along with one Secret Rare – the perfect power-up for any Duelist’s collection!

Konami is offering three ideal accessories to help Duelists show off and protect all these new cards.  With a new anti-slip feature, both the 4-pocket (holds 160 cards) and the 9-pocket (holds 180 cards) Duelist Portfolios are perfect products to help keep cards organized. The 4-pocket portfolio is already available and the 9-pocket portfolio will be available April 25th. Next, Yu-Gi-Oh! Legendary Sleeves feature favorite characters from the classic Yu-Gi-Oh! animated series and at an MSRP of $4.99, these 70-card sleeves per pack make it an easy and affordable way to keep cherished cards safe and secure. Yu-Gi-Oh! Legendary Sleeves are available May 16th.

Also available May 16th is the Primal Origin booster pack. The final booster set to feature favorite characters and monsters from Yu-Gi-Oh! ZEXAL, Primal Origin contains cards that support more than 20 different Decks and a new Spell Card that every Duelist will want to include in their Deck. Each nine-card pack will be available at an MSRP of $3.99.

In June, Konami is set to kick off the summer with two releases. Duelists will want to get their hands on Primal Origin: Deluxe Edition on June 13th.  Powered by nine Primal Origin booster packs, plus two foil versions of Common and/or Rare cards found in Primal Origin, this Deluxe Edition is overflowing with terrific elements. Add one pack of 50-promotional sleeves, one of two foil versions of preview cards from the upcoming August booster release and a Beginner’s Guide, this is one product that should be in every Duelist’s arsenal.  Best of all, each Deluxe Edition comes in one of two storage boxes to keep new cards safe and ready to play! This Deluxe Edition sells for MSRP of $29.99 per box.

The Realm of Light Structure Deck, featuring Lightsworns, is planned for release June 27th. Duelists can expect a complete Deck ready-to-play right out of the box, bringing new life to a classic championship-level tournament Deck from the GX era!

Building on the success of last year’s Yu-Gi-Oh! Super Starter, on July 11th Konami will be releasing a brand new Starter Deck* which will introduce Pendulum Monsters and Pendulum Summons. This completely new gameplay mechanic introduced in this Deck will add two new zones to the game field that will turn every Duel into a true battle!

The busy tournament and convention season means plenty of opportunities to Duel, so players will want to go to their local store to pick up some extra Dueling power found in Battle Pack 3*. On sale late July, Battle Pack 3 is designed specifically for booster draft play but with a new twist from Battle Pack 2: War of the Giants. The Battle Pack series makes it easy to build new Decks – just open the packs, make brand new Decks from those cards, and start Dueling! Battle Pack 3 will be available for an MSRP of $1.99 per pack.

In August, stores will be sizzling with sales when, releasing on August 8th, is a booster set introducing several new themes to competitive play for this Fall, including several themes that work with the new mechanics introduced in the 2014 Starter Deck. Boasting   the new monster type, Pendulum Monsters and new summoning technique, this MSRP $3.99 per nine-card pack is sure to excite Duelists.
